Verdict: Big Helmet Heroes feels like Castle Crashers® in 3D graphics, yet lacking most of the things that made the second game such a hit. I have no issue recommending in on sale if you want to get a solid beat’em up that plays it a bit too safe. + Positives + + Steam achievements (21, 2 playthroughs) + Really solid Beat’em up + Couch co-op (2 player only) + 4 classes of heroes (the Warrior, the Brute, the Rogue and the Monk) + Each hero has a unique ultimate ability + 29 heroes to pick from + The gameplay loop is quite fun + Solid enemy variety (especially visually) + A lot of settings (you will visit mines, pirate ships, goblin mazes, castles, beach, tombs …) + The animations after bosses are quite funny and well done + Beautiful and imaginative + The humour landed well with me + Two bosses have secret endings + Tons of weapons to pick on the ground – Negatives – - No Steam trading cards - Campaign is the only mode the game has to offer - Only about 3-4 hours for a playthrough which isn’t a lot for the price tag - Quite a lot of bugs (the game sometimes doesn’t have any sound, music, effects, enemies get stuck, the menu sometimes doesn’t react if you switch window…

I expected more from this game as in trailer/steam page it did look to have more mechanics. I reality it is button mash with cool 1 trick special move. Short , easy (even on Hard difficulty) and fun game you can buy it dirty cheap so it is worth it if you like to play very simple beat`em up with girlfriend or mates on local coop. PS. I had only 1 issue with 1 boss, scorpion, it did hit and kill me in 1-2 hits on Hard difficulty where for the rest of the game all bosses and enemies never had that dmg. IDK if this was a bug or on purpose but it was weird. PS2. To Devs or players . There was lava level where sound was not working correctly.

The game is so much fun with its mechanics, you can have a lot of enjoyment! Remember that the game supports split monitor coop, that means you can only buy one game to play with 2 ppl. With this discount currently available, this is something you couldn't ask for more in a game for a cozy night with friends/family. Highly recommended.

Very good game I played the demo when it came out and the full game did not disappoint. although it could have some more levels because it's not that long of a game
