Mr Husky

Mr Husky is a bare bones asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" ripped off some retro pixel tilesets, slapped them onto a basic nw.js/Construct type physics puzzle game template, and dumped the mess lazily onto Steam as a cash grab... they have a known history of doing this kind of thing, one glance at their Steam catalog will clearly demonstrate these guys are just shovelware pushers, and this is no exception. This is a basic mobile app tier pathing puzzle game. It might look like a platformer, but it's much simpler and more dumbed down. Pressing any direction will make your "dog" run to the next barrier, so gameplay consists of running to each barrier until you reach the exit (another 2D retro pixel dog thing). That's all there is to it, basically the same game as the "Chocolate Makes You Happy" series of Russian ClickTeam Fusion asset flips from the Russian scammers at "Blender Games". Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. Not a bad puzzle game. Had some fun playing it with some friends watching me.

Mr. Husky is a rough gem in the steam store. It has excellent music, charming pixel art, some solid puzzle mechanics of manipulating gravity to get to your husky love, and clever level design. It is a little rough around the edges - especially as things like elevators come into play, it almost seems like you have to "break" some of the levels a bit to solve them - but it is very charming and a good time waster. This game deserves more love, so it gets a definite recommendation from me!

This game is poorly translated, wonky, and generally low quality. Also the achievements are buggy and I can't even be sure if that's cause of the game being wonky in yet another way, or if they just don't properly work. It's a simple premise, swap gravity in any direction, like a mobile game or flash game. It is just as wonky as a mobile or flash game. 2/10, and that's a bit generous. I didn't hate it, but it is NOT worth buying.
