About Eldritch University
Kasumi Kawamura just wants to get through university while rekindling her relationship with her girlfriend. But not long after she arrives at school, a strange epidemic starts to infect the city, causing the afflicted to have terrible nightmares and lose the motivation to live their lives. Coinciding with the appearance of this "Nightmare Syndrome", an old wound that Kasumi thought healed starts to burn and cause frightening visions to those around her. Caught in the center of this situation, Kasumi and her friends try desperately to find a solution. Yet all the while, Kasumi wonders if she might be to blame...
Features:
- Multiple endings. Choosing poorly often leads to death, but it can also damage the relationship between Kasumi and her girlfriend.
- Continue the story. The nightmare was seemingly over thanks to Yue and her friends, but something was left unfinished.
- Discover connections. Shizuka and Yuri, from the Shireishi anthology, return to investigate another paranormal occurrence.
- Watch the aftermath. Aside from the usual bonus features, the game also includes a set of stories that take place after the nightmare's end, hinting at new beginnings.

Eldritch University resonates most strongly with players seeking yuri romance, with praise centered on the relationship dynamics, character interactions, character development, and thoughtful handling of LGBTQ+ themes. The main criticism is that the supernatural horror elements feel disconnected and underdeveloped, making the brief two-hour runtime feel insufficient to tie everything together, though the game's art, music, and atmosphere generally land well for those willing to engage with the story.
Eldritch University is a supernatural horror Visual Novel with yuri subplot.
Honestly, the whole supernatural theme is my biggest gripe about this game. I understand that it was needed (continuation of story from different game made by this studio), but it was too boring for me. Length of this game didn't help either. Two hours were not enough to make this story more interesting. What was good then? Definitely yuri romance part. More grounded approach to LGBTQ+ issues was really refreshing. I recommend to play Extras after the main story. TL;DR: May be worth if you're fan of yuri. For everyone else - not really. Eldritch University is a fun visual novel. I didn't like it as much as Eldritch Academy, but I still thought it was a super good read overall. This game also sets up the possibility of a sequel. Eldritch Investigations anyone? :D3 found this helpful
Found this book easier to read than Eldritch Academy, mainly cause I like the protagonist better which helps cause I didn't care much about the supporting cast and the villain wasn't as good as EA. But I was engage in the main couple trying to support each other. So yeah, I recommend this for the romance alone.
Neutral
Short game but a good creepy feel, pretty artwork, a great relationship story, and relatable characters. The music enhanced the mood very well. Good suspense too, as well as depicting good old college angst (not to mention the supernatural angst). I loved the character interactions on this one. For such a short game (but still well worth the price) it never seemed artificial.
Overall a good yuri story about devotion, trust, love, coming of age and coming out to your parents. Despite strange horror side of the story, I really liked core ideas and the message of every ending, escpecially the good and neutral ones. Warning: it has a an optional sex scene (1 for neutral and 1 for good ending), if you are interested in this stuff. Played with pleasure and had fulfiiling wholesome thoughts about relationships after the game, solid 9/10.
