A very cute game that has a slight difficulty curve, but if you have played shoot 'em ups before it won't be much trouble to start clearing the game. Though, the good ending requires way too many steps in my opinion (Hate the absorb bullets requirement). I would have loved a bit more variety on runs, besides the secret levels that require more intricate ways to unlock, but overall it offers a couple of hours of fun for the price. Plus, Bullet is cute <3 Edit: After finishing the two normal endings, I can't find it in me to try the best ending. Runs take far too much to reach the first secret boss and one mistake means you basically can't get it (At least in my 3 full attempts). Tried my best for Bullet, it was a fun time.

I love corgis, i love the music, i love the premise. there's a nice amount of things the game does do right. but there are a ton of things this game does horribly wrong. all of the more lengthy negative reviews describe it perfectly. the visual effects in this game are jank and obnoxious. it's less bullet hell and more fighting the game's active attempts to damage your eye sockets so you accidentally stumble into something. the game disconnects the camera partially from the screen and has it zoom in on your character, while having sometimes a second or less to dodge unclear environmental hazards- one of which requiring perfect movement for the slow moving character. with no checkpoints- but around 50 minutes of gameplay, upgrades that feel like they should already be unlocked to truly enjoy the game as it feels like the game was balanced around the secret upgrades, glitched achievements, control jank, visual jank, mechanical jank, i don't regret playing the game. i wanted to love it, but it made me way too mad because it felt extremely unfair. even after i learned what to do when going back it still felt unfair even when i succeeded. also the environment, even when it's just nonth…

This was a really fun time through. In a time where a lot of games can feel like massive time investments, there is the humble Protocorgi. About 4 hours to get the true ending for me, but it was really evocative of a time going out to an arcade, and puzzling one consistent path through the game. For the low asking price, it's impossible to say I felt like any time or money was wasted! In my opinion, this game is very underrated. It's a cute shoot 'em up with a robot corgi instead of a spaceship. It's very pleasant to look at and it's always clear what the next objective is. Sometimes you fly to the right, sometimes you fly to the left. Sometimes you ascend out of an exploding ship, sometimes you descend into a frozen cave. There's a selection of weapons which will drop every once in a while, like spread shot or laser. You can also bark at enemies, which deals damage as well. There's plenty of options to play around with. You can customize the text of your barks, increase or decrease the amount of lives or continues... Picking a difficulty changes enemy patterns to easier or harder to dodge. There's also a practice mode for difficult sections and a level creator, if you get bored of playing the campaign over and over again. Some stuff needs unlocking, but the game is fun enough, that the unlocks will seem to appear out of nowhere after just a few runs. My only critique is that certain stuff can spawn in a very unintuitive way which results, in loss of lives/continues.
