About Echoes of the Living
Echoes of the Living is a survival horror game that brings the fixed-camera classics of the 90s into modern times with fully 3D environments and current generation graphics, where you navigate a fog-shrouded European town plagued by the undead while unraveling the mystery through multiple interconnected character perspectives. Classic tank controls, inventory management, puzzle-solving, and a varied arsenal await as you fight zombie hordes and grotesque creatures across iconic locations like hospitals and theaters, all while an immersive soundtrack anchors the atmospheric dread.
STORY
In 1996, on a quiet small town located in Europe, a mysterious fog suddenly rises upon the town in a clear night, their inhabitants have no clue of the horrors and chaos that were about to unleash.
Not longer after, the locals get sick and panic runs all over the place, nobody knows how or why the dead walks on the streets, a few hours later all left in the town are the echoes of the living…
MEET THE CAST
Laurel Reaves, a police officer faces the horror from the beginning, her goal is to investigate the fate of her father with the help of Marcus Wallace and escape the infection.Liam Oakwood, an ex Special Forces member arrives to the town where he was about to move in and start a new life with his fiancée Octavia Blade, he couldn’t imagine that this would be in the worst moment, his goal is to find his fiancée and together leave behind the horror.
The protagonists are tied up in the hell on earth the city has become, they have to collaborate to discover what’s going on and make it out alive.

WARNING: Game-breaking bug after 5 hours. Steam denies refunds! I absolutely DO NOT recommend buying this game. While the first few hours might seem fine, there is a massive, game-breaking bug that occurs around the 5-hour mark. It completely breaks the game and makes any further progress impossible. The product is fundamentally broken. To make matters worse, because this critical defect only appears after the 2-hour playtime mark, Steam Support completely refuses to issue a refund. They are strictly hiding behind their automated policy, leaving players stranded with a broken, unplayable product. Do not waste your money or your time on this until the developers release a proper patch. Absolute waste of money.2 found this helpful
One of the more "mixed" experiences I've had with these RE homage games. Great artwork and good mechanics. The characters and story, though I get the vibe they are going for camp value, are just so uninteresting any humor is lost in the process. The pub level is cool in concept, but it is just constant running from one end to the other for what feels like no reason. Some of the puzzles are interesting, but its one of those games where you get a "key" item and you just stare at it for five minutes because there is not a thought in your head about where it could possibly go. The vision of the dual campaign is admirable, but I would have preferred they made a more complete single campaign.2 found this helpful
Honestly one of the best survival horror games I have played in a while! Very nostalgic and reminiscent of classic Resident Evil Games. Lots of Puzzles, Item and inventory management and lots of locations to explore! If you're wanting a game that feel like a RE1 RE2 or RE3 game but modern, then this is 100% the game for you! Cant wait for the new campaigns to come out!

The literal closest you can get to classic Resident Evil, seriously NOTHING comes close! Game has so much more content coming in the future that you have to look forward to outside of Liam's main campaign.
This is the best RE successor ever made, I just startet without any expectations but binged to it.
