Coming after years of not touching this game it has become decent. It is still repetitive as ever though but that is how it is. One thing that really turns me off is the community. Don't want to get into it but if you want Solo looter zombie that is very repetitive this is the game for you. If you want an MMO experience avoid this game especially the discord. Don't use it for communication just trade and updates.2 found this helpful
fun not bad shooter from time to time decent play when your casual not to bad haven't tried pvp so cant say much for it in that department
As someone who has less then 10 hours on the game i feel like my opinion doesnt really matter , but the game is bad. Bad in some aspects , It actually feels like a playing a beta zombie prototype even tho the game has been out for ages. i feel like they need to put more effort into the game. Because for the first 3 hours i was actually having fun then the game suddenly turnt into ♥♥♥♥. This game has potential. but it lacks all the basics.
P2W aspects can be enjoyed without but its like 100% xp gain and +15 weapons and stuff if you buy it
Dead Frontier 2 is one of those rare free games that somehow feels better than it has any right to. Only ~2 hours in and I’m already surprised how much I wanna jump back. On paper it’s the most predictable free zombie MMORPG ever: missions at the outpost → procedurally refreshed buildings → clear infected → loot → sell/upgrade → repeat. Classic kill-loot-return loop. Nothing new. And yet… it works. Weirdly well. There’s this peculiar, almost meditative satisfaction in the monotony. Expectations start so low (it’s free) that every small win hits harder — better gun after a tense room, barely surviving a shambler hallway, dragging ammo home. Quietly rewarding in a hard-to-explain way. Dark, grimy atmosphere helps a lot; old-school survival tension where ammo matters and every corner feels threatening, no cheap jump-scare spam. I figure the loop will tire eventually, but I’ll happily sink 30–40 hours first. First stretch has strange understated charm. No systems overload, no aggressive early paywalls — just honest simple zombie-scavenging grind that ends up more fun than it looks.Not GOTY material, not a hidden masterpiece. Just… unexpectedly good at being exactly what it claims.…
