About No Son Of Mine

Find the Truth Or Die In Shame and Terror

No Son Of Mine is a survival horror game focused on combat, stealth, exploration, puzzle solving and uncovering a gruesome mystery.
Your job is to find the truth, before he finds you. You will be hunted. You will be terrorized. Can you survive?

Face The Boy

He's intelligent, unpredictable, deadly and cruel. He will stalk and terrorize you. But maybe there is more to him than meets the eye...

Watch the Lights

Despite being armed with the best combat technology money can buy - THE CB 9000, as well as other useful tools,
it is advised that you avoid dark areas and hide immediately if the lights go out. Or prepare for a fight, if you're brave enough.

Pay Attention

Your enemy is unpredictable and can attack at any moment, from unexpected places. Utilize in-game mechanics which may give you an
early warning of impending doom.

Master the Mechanics

No Son Of Mine does not hold your hand, it's aimed at players who enjoy a challenge, but you have what it takes to survive.
Pay attention to your surroundings and don't panic. Good luck.

Great survival/psychological horror title. Indie devs can often do it way more effectively than the big names, and this is a good example of that. Plenty of challenge, even on easier settings, and the incessant movements of "the boy" will keep you tense for sure. But, most importantly imo, is the way the story terrifies through REAL LIFE tragedy. Man this one hits hard in that regard, more effectively than anything supernatural. You... YOU DIDN'T WARN ME!!! All I can say is this game has one of the better stories of a shorter indie horror game that I've played as of late. The game itself play wise is pretty fun... but the story is OMG!!! I didn't see any of it coming. The art style for the "cut scenes" I really enjoyed as well. Not something you see every day... and it was a real nice change of pace. Although I have to say one of those "cut scenes" is going to stay with me for a very long time. Is it worth the money... yes. Will you enjoy the game throughout... yes (the last part may get a little frustrating but you have to push through so you can see the whole end). Will this game leave an impact on you... yes (unless you don't have a heart). Very well done here Pleasantly Friendly Games... you have managed to not only entertain me... but shock me as well.

I played the game for 2 hours and got right to the end but didn't beat the last boss. + The atmosphere of the different locations is great + The weapon and upgrade system was original + The story is disturbing and interesting - The graphics are plain and dated - One of the puzzle items to find a code is in a really obscure out of the way location, hard to find - The enemy can be really cheap at times and hit you from behind, you cant tell where he came from - More healing items needed Overall I give this game a solid 6/10 I think it should be priced around $5

No Son Of Mine is a first-person survival horror title developed and published by Pleasantly Friendly Games that confidently embraces many of the genre's classic foundations while introducing a few ideas of its own. At its core, the game revolves around a disturbing investigation tied to a sinister figure known only as The Boy, an ever-present threat that transforms what could have been a straightforward horror adventure into an intense battle for survival. From the opening moments, the game establishes a bleak and oppressive atmosphere, inviting players into a world where every shadow feels dangerous and every answer uncovered raises even more questions. The game's greatest strength lies in how it handles tension. Instead of depending entirely on scripted scares, it creates fear through unpredictability. The Boy is not simply an obstacle waiting at designated checkpoints; he actively influences the pacing of the experience. Players never feel entirely safe, especially when environmental lighting becomes a critical mechanic. Darkness serves as more than visual dressing, forcing players to remain alert and make split-second decisions between hiding, fighting, or retreating. This re…
