What Steam players say

Players praise this short psychological horror game for its compelling narrative, unique visual style, and excellent soundtrack that creates an atmospheric and emotionally resonant experience. However, opinions are mixed on the gameplay, with some finding the puzzles simple and combat unengaging outside of a notably difficult final boss that requires specific tactics to enjoy. The game resonates most with those seeking a personal, introspective story about regret and moving forward rather than traditional survival horror or challenging gameplay.
This was an interesting late night play, although I will say that the tags are a little misleading, at least for me. If's more psychological horror than anything else using survival horror elements to better convey its message and atmosphere. The game started a little slow, was at its best in the middle and dragged a lot at the end. First, I would like to put here something that helped me a lot, written in another review, so that it stays "on top" : Long story short: final boss fight HOLD ON only (don't take dmg) UNTIL u are max health and def (it will say you can't get any stronger), then PERSIST only. It's not the most obvious thing to do especially if u take dmg/ alternate the two or simply played this in one sitting and are tired by the end. This will make the finale so much better for you. Now, the pros and cons (in my opinion): Pros: - The story is built up very well up until the end, it's vague enough that it's not obvious from the get go, yet with enough specifics that u can piece it together, when u combine it with the symbolism and general atmosphere. - The puzzles and fights are simple, but it feels intentional. Meaning that they are there simply there to help build u…2 found this helpful
Great game. The final boss is a little bit too much, but other than that, I've got nothing. The story is gripping, and the visual style is super unique. Loving it.1 found this helpful
Wonderful game, it really was not what I was expecting. I enjoyed it very much, in all honesty I did not get much from the story of the game, but I can say that it conveyed feelings very nicely, I felt like I was on edge when the game wanted to be intense, and I felt sad when the game wanted to be sad, so really nice on that end! I LOVED the music a lot and I wish we could have the OST, I would be willing to pay money for it! It was so great. Nice little game!
This is one of those games on steam that makes me wish for the ability to give a neutral score. A beautiful art style, interesting setting, and a admittedly vague but interesting story is weighed down by mediocre gameplay and braindead easy puzzles. I liked the first half of the game but after the part in the hospital where you lose your arms and inventory getting through the rest of the game turned into a massive slog of going through a dozen uninteresting dark rooms where you just kinda run around doing "puzzles" and clicking the attack button on enemies. It has genuine potential but its pacing makes me reluctant to recommend it unless you like these sorts of games enough to put with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Cool little game
Not really for anyone in particular, but a game about the feelings of regret and finding the strength to move past despite it all. Thank you dev for sharing your feelings about it, and keep on keepin' on. All of the story is implied (though I don't think it's that hard to figure out the general gist of the story,) takes a lot of inspiration from UNDERTALE and FAITH, nothing too difficult, nothing too grand either; a simple game, really. Though I can't particularly say I recommend it, but I think it was worth buying the dev some lunch money for.
