KIT-10

This was a very fun short little game with 80's arcade style platforming. Simple but very good at what it does, with a punishing no mercy game over once you've lost all lives, just like games use to be. Restarting doesn't feel like too much of a chore, especially since the early levels are still fun to play, and you get a sense of "how far can I get this time?" when you're starting out. Really, all the levels are super fun, aside from 2 of them ([spoiler]Factory 2 & 3[/spoiler] levels felt a bit tedious on replays). The characters are great too, I love Wacky Vaccy! I also love the robotic meows when you finish a level and the fact that you can pause any time even during ending screens or transitions. This is about as perfect as a game like this should be. The music in the game is a big highlight as well, rivalling top tier games known for their music. It's very catchy and deserves recognition. I would often be humming the songs during the day when I wasn't playing. Every song in the game is worthy of praise, and I think is on par with something like the 8-bit Mega Man games, which is not something I say lightly. It's a charming, beautiful little game. The soundtrack is amazing, the character design is endearing, the gameplay is crisp and tight, the levels are thoughtful and challenging without being frustrating, and the leaderboard makes chasing high scores an addictive experience. But most importantly of all: it's FUN! I had more fun playing this game than I did any other game released in 2025, it's easily my GOTY, despite its tiny size. I would love to see more levels added via DLC in the future because the core gameplay loop is basically perfect. What's more is that you can tell how much love, energy, attention, and care went into the game's production, it's oozing from every pixel and note. My only piece of feedback: add a fast reset button! I'm looking forward to seeing what Grizbyte comes up with next. Highly recommend this game to anyone that likes platformers, chiptunes, cats, vacuums, having fun, etc.

Classic. When I played UFO 50 back in 2024, I clocked it right away as my game of the year. Granted, it wasn’t a particularly competitive year, but it still would have been a serious competitor if it had released anywhere else in the decade prior. I’ve spent a good deal of time breaking free from an earlier conception I had that arcade and NES-era games were often so primitive as to not really be worth playing, and UFO 50 helped a lot in putting a crack in that conditioning. As such, I’ve been keeping an eye out for more things like it; modern interpretations of traditional principles, where creators look back on what worked in the past and then append the intervening forty years of shifts in design sensibilities on top. KIT-10 is exactly what I’m looking for. Had this been in UFO 50, it would have been one of the best games present, easy. Awesome old school style game! I really like the sound design and music! Also nice to play on the steam deck too

This is the epitome of 'arcade-game' style, and I'm all here for it. Not a huge 2D fan, but the art style and audio polish really drew me in. I like how when I first play a level I am moving slow and discovering it, and when I inevitably die and have to replay through the levels I am speedrunning them like I'm in a Let's Play just seeing how quick I can go. I'm not used to enjoying that type of gameplay so I have to give this game a thumbs up because I do get enthralled in the fast-paced beats and satisfying 'clinks' of collection.
