About Food Wagon

Embark on an Epic Culinary Adventure with Lanya, the Legendary Hero's Daughter!

One peaceful day, while running a restaurant with her retired parents,
Lanya is suddenly engulfed by a strange light and transported to another world. The land she crash-lands in is cursed by the gods, where cooking has been forbidden.
Immune to the gods’ curse, Lanya becomes the only chef in this world.Show the people a variety of flavors in this land where cooking is banned, reclaim the freedom of taste stolen by the gods, and embark on a journey to find your way home.

Hunt, Eat, and Survive

Each field is home to its own unique monsters.
Hunt them to gather ingredients, and collect resources through logging and mining to continue your journey. The “Gifts” earned in battle grant you temporary strength during expeditions but vanish once you return.
However, the resources you bring back can be used to strengthen your weapons and crafting, allowing you to grow little by little.Short expeditions and small victories will accumulate into the strength you need to venture further into the world.

You Are the Only Chef in This World

Prepare for expeditions or craft snacks at camps scattered throughout the land. Choose your ingredients freely and create your own recipes. But remember—Lanya has a small appetite and can’t eat much at once.
Keep an eye on Fullness when preparing snacks.Snacks can provide various buffs, and special snacks found during expeditions may grant unique effects when eaten. When your journey ends, use the leftover ingredients to serve meals to the people. Grill steaks the traditional way, roast skewers, or simmer hearty soups to win over your customers.
The money you earn will become the fuel that drives your next adventure.

Challenge the Gods of Taste!

Why did the Gods of Taste strip people of the joy of flavor and cooking?Defeat the guardians that protect them, confront the gods themselves, and uncover the hidden secrets of this world.Reclaim the freedom of cooking, and set out on the journey that may reveal the way for Lanya to return to her original world.

✦ AI summary

Players praise the strategic depth hidden beneath the casual cooking and combat premise, with the Tetris-like snack preparation system creating meaningful build variety that dramatically impacts boss difficulty. Common complaints center on the weak tutorial that doesn't explain key mechanics like customizable block shapes, poor enemy balance in later worlds, and underdeveloped town features that lack NPCs and side quests, alongside quality-of-life issues like the cooking minigame controls being cumbersome.

I thought this game was just about cooking and fighting, but the snack-cooking part is actually super fun. When I make the perfect snack setup, some bosses die in like 10 seconds, but if I go in with a sloppy setup, I can’t beat them at all. So yeah, it’s way more strategic than it looks. BUT WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME I COULD CHANGE THE BLOCK SHAPES??? The tutorial is kinda weak overall, but it’s EA so I’ll let it slide… for now.

My review of this current early access version is that it has potential but as expected, still a bit bland and lacking Quality of Life. The game itself has cute graphics and you are traveling through a dungeon, where you clear through each "room" before reaching the end. You gather ingrident and resources from each room. At the start, there are 9 different weapon all with upgrade and enchantment. You get to cook with the ingrident shape like tetris block and each having different effect so you have to fit them into a board. Note that each food take up the amount of hunger until its fully gone, so eat 100 hunger of food, means that space on the hunger bar is taken up until its fully depleted. The main reason why I giving it a negative vote is due to the enemy balance. In the 3rd world, there this crow enemy that fires 3 projectiles constantly, good luck dodging that. And if you choose a melee weapon, you will lose. It is really annoying. There are some similar enemies like this in pervious levels, but they were tone down, but for some reason not this one. No hitting them to stagger them to prevent them from firing, they just keep going. No breaks between firing, nothing. Other t…

the game is still in early access but I've enjoy it so far. Combat is simple, and repetitive but fun. I actually enjoy throwing my cart to blow up enemies and then running them over lite them on fire (I use burning wheels and TNT cart upgrade). The town is the weakest part of the game. The dev needs to add more npcs and side quest. Also, add a option to auto the cooking mini game or have is use the mouse itself be the controls instead of the mouse wheel.
