Voodoo Fishin'

If there was a "Mixed" review option, that's what I would put. I think the reason I'm not the biggest fan of Voodoo Fishin' is that it wasn't how I thought it'd be. When I purchased this game, I was looking for a chill but exciting, linear fishing experience. You know, take a boat through the murky bayou, try to catch some rare fish, maybe a sea monster in the water that you want to try and catch. Voodoo Fishin' is, I wouldn't say hardcore, but far more difficult than that. Catching fish pays low, upgrades are expensive, and half of the upgrades you get don't even save. To get anywhere in the map, you have to do parkour, and the controls are pretty finicky. You also can't really tell what's "safe" to walk on or what'll kill you and send you back to the start. All in all, Voodoo Fishin' has parts that I really really like (the actual fishing is great) and parts that I really dislike. It's a very particular flavor of game. It's not relaxing but it's not exciting, and can be kind of demanding for not much of a reward. Maybe it's still worth a shot if you absolutely love how it looks, but I'm just not sure what to do with it.

Fun fishing game with a surprising amount of content to find. The devs seem really committed to the game, and that's awesome. They've been putting out several meaningful updates every month.

great calm game for single or multiplayer gaming

If you like fishing with friends then this is a great game. Devs been updating the game every week adding more content. Despite the monsters, it is a pretty chill experience with that Cajun flavor to everything.
