pretty cool concept! i like there being two different control schemes for each player. Then tension between healing your friend or killing birds as the shooter is a cool idea. Hope this gets built on more, would love to see more designed levels3 found this helpful
First thing's first: I received a free key from the dev. :3 So, Manda Duo - originally entitled Mario & Ana - is an arcade-esque falling platformer: as Mario, you have to continuously drop yourself onto lower platforms in order to avoid the spikes at the top of screen. However, Mario takes damage over time from the planet's radiation, thus bringing us to our main twist: Ana. Ana is your second character, and is the little FPS-style gun at the bottom of the screen. She has to continuously heal Mario (via green bullets) and attack enemies (via red bullets). Unsurprisingly, adding a second character to mix makes the game A LOT harder. In order to make it to the end, you'll have to: avoid falling to your death, avoid getting hit by spikes, shoot any incoming enemies with the red bullets (green bullets will, in fact, strengthen them), and just generally keep on top of Mario's health. Add in perma-death and procedural generation, and you've thus got a very frantic gameplay loop. While the gameplay is pretty fun (if a bit stressful) for what it is, this game definitely does have some issues. There are no options yet (so no key rebinds, no volume control, no mouse inversion or anything …2 found this helpful
