About Door Kickers: Action Squad
Door Kickers: Action Squad is a retro side-scrolling SWAT shooter where you tactically breach rooms, manage resources through a strategic abilities system, and adapt on the fly across 84 nonlinear levels packed with 60 weapons and multiple objectives. Master weapon recoil, coordinate with teammates in couch or online co-op, and choose from six unique characters with distinct playstyles to take down Nowhere City's criminal underworld.

Choose your gear, then kick the doors down and face the action. Adapt and react by the seat of your pants, and if needed - restart without a care and rethink. Master weapons recoil and time your reloads, use distance and cover to your advantage and use the in-game Strategic Abilities to decide for yourself when healthpacks or gear refills are needed, or if that team-mate of yours is worth saving. Or just save up the Points earned and unleash your Ultimate to waltz through that tricky final room.
And when it gets too hard, bring over a friend to help.

It was so good to revisit this game after at least 3 years, but this time legitimately. Okay gameplay, decent soundtrack, good levels with some enemy variety each chapter. I wish the levels were more random than they already are, and I'm referring at some key items, bombs and hostages placements to make the levels feel more like an intuition test rather than a memory game. Plus points for having a Level Editor to make the game less boring. Even the general content of the game is good enough (infinite tower and zombie mode) + the DLC (which is a little bit hard compared to the base game but doable). Also surprisingly it has a co-op mode, both local and online (sadly it looks like most people aren't interested in that). If you want a Ready or Not "lite" version - minus the full party (unless you play duo), then it's worth your time.
One of the BEST 2D games ever
The best couch coop game I have played.
This is an excellent tribute to classic gaming with clever mechanics and solid execution to keep it vibrant and fresh; and its even better in multiplayer! well done!
Goated music and fun gameplay
Good to play with your nephew
