The Suburbs is a short adult-oriented visual novel that combines mystery, dark comedy, voyeuristic investigation, and light sandbox elements into an intentionally fast-moving experience. Developed and published by The Sexy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the game does not attempt to compete with enormous visual novels built around dozens of hours of dialogue and elaborate relationship systems. Instead, it focuses on a provocative suburban scenario that can be experienced relatively quickly. Its greatest strength is arguably this sense of purpose. The game knows that its primary audience wants an unusual adult story with rapid progression, questionable decisions, and plenty of exaggerated situations, so it wastes little time before introducing those elements. The premise revolves around a mysterious wealthy woman who moves into the house across from the protagonist. Her unfriendly personality and suspicious behavior immediately encourage curiosity, and discovering what she is hiding becomes the central motivation behind the story. A solid little visual novel with a busty character: what you see on the store page is what you get. Though it's also quite humorous so espect to have at least a laugh from it. While blackmailing isn't a story type I like to see its comical enough to not take it anywhere seriously. Despite the management aspect you don't run out of time, you only change how quickly you get access to all the scenes. Those mentioned are solid. For its price I would recommend easily.

The game has just as much content as if shows in the preview images. Bought the game thinking there might be just a bit more ... there was not. For as short as it almost seems like it could be tagged as Early Access, except that usually means more content to be added to base game as it develops (additional content is planned as DLCs).
