Sylph

This game reminds me of my beloved friend Jason who passed away from brain cancer in 2010. In 1987ish we bought a game we knew nothing about called Elite. I remember staying up very late at night with him figuring it out and playing until we dropped. Sylph is a pleasure to figure out for some, and to others who don't have their "Jason" anymore, its a little more difficult. I love the highly technical and realistic. This does it for me, but it has not held my hand. You will be looking externally for answers...

If you’re looking for a space game that actually respects physics, *Sylph* delivers in a way most games don’t even try. This is not an arcade experience—you’re dealing with real orbital mechanics, real system management, and a ship that behaves like a machine, not a toy. The learning curve is steep, but that’s exactly what makes it satisfying. Every successful burn, rendezvous, or docking feels earned. What stands out most is how everything connects: power systems, fuel flow, propulsion, navigation—it all matters. You’re not just pressing a button to “go faster,” you’re thinking through procedures and consequences. It rewards patience and attention. The UI might look intimidating at first, but once it clicks, it becomes one of the strongest parts of the game. It gives you exactly the information you need without hand-holding. If you enjoy games like Kerbal but want something more grounded, more technical, and less forgiving, this is absolutely worth your time. What happens after you cross the singularity is kinda weird and does not fit well with the rest of the game to be honest. Not for everyone—but if it’s for you, it’s *really* for you.

Had some experience with orbital games. Got mad because this is so complicated. Quit. Tried again 4 mins later. Figured it out well enough to change my orbit. realized its not as complicated as it looks. Burned retrograde at the periapsis and apoapsis. got sucked into the singularity. Woke up in some kind of minecraft hell world. 10/10.

Half baked orbiter clone with nearly zero documentation and zero dev interaction. The dude vanished after launch. A pure cash grab. Stay away.

A bit of a work in progress but I love it

Would recommend, fun to play and easy to run. The only few things I had that I didn't like was the planets not having any sort of ground, I got so confused, and also how the cockpit is just screens and a box with a grid texture. Would also like a 3rd person
