Asteroids: Recharged

[h2]It's like the original Asteroids just recharged[/h2] Growing up, I played a lot of the original Asteroids on an ancient Atari PC back in the late 80s and early 90s. So when Atari started releasing the Recharged series, I was naturally curious. Asteroids Recharged stays true to the original while giving it a modern look. The visuals are great, the sound is solid, and the gameplay captures the feel of the arcade classic while adding a few new modes to keep things interesting. That said, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing. I can't quite put my finger on what it is, but it feels like the game could have gone just a little further. It isn't my favorite game in the Recharged series, but it's definitely one of the better entries. I've played through most, if not all, of Atari's Recharged series. Its like the original but really not. My aunt had an original Asteroids arcade machine at her house, it was fun! this game is good pretty good. There should be a way to switch back to the original. Also this game Music sucks.

Got this one as part of a bundle. Linux native build doesn't work, it brings up a "missing executable" error. You have to force it to use Proton, then it grabs the windows build and works fine. That's why I rated this down. Why the ♥♥♥♥ would you state that this has native linux builds but not actually include the executable? ProtonDB also has the same complaints. There are other issues with this game: - It's boring after about 10 minutes. - Some of the challenges are silly. The 50 UFO one throws 20 at you at the start, then drip feeds 1 at a time every 10-15 seconds or so for about 3-4 minutes until you get 50. Lol. - If you fail to complete a challenge, it says A to retry or B to exit. However, if you complete the challenge, it's A to exit or B to retry. Why? - Achievements for the ribbon require coop mode for a dead game. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. - $13 CAD store price. Lmfao. Don't pay more than a dollar for this at most to satisfy curiosity. It's clearly a lazy shovelware throw-together game.

Space rocks must die!

Cute and fun way to revive and arcade classic! It doesn't revolutionize the gameplay in any way, but getting to choose between having multiple lives or playing the classic version of the game is a nice touch! Definitely grab it on sale. Not anywhere near worth it for full price.

What an absolute pleasure of a game this bad boy is. Its got me hooked , I cant belive how good and addictive it is. Bought for £1.99. Defo worth 2 bar.
