Best with friends. 2 player is cut throat but 4 player is fairly relaxed. Only complaint is the online session drops a lot.
Chock-full of content and incredibly fun with friends. Each level feels fresh, with different equipment, recipes and map mechanics constantly changing how you need to approach the kitchen. My biggest issue is the solo experience. I wish there were a dedicated solo mode that didn't force you to alternate control between two separate characters. The frantic teamwork that makes the game so much fun with friends simply doesn't translate particularly well when you're juggling both chefs yourself. I'm also not a fan of levels that arbitrarily lock off portions of the map for periods of time. In a game built around time efficiency and optimising your workflow, being forced to wait until you can access a particular ingredient, appliance or part of the kitchen feels more frustrating than challenging. Despite those complaints, Overcooked! All You Can Eat is an excellent package and an absolute blast with friends. There's a huge amount of variety here, and at its best, the frantic coordination and barely controlled chaos are ridiculously fun.
Love it. Lots of fun. Play with my daughter all the time. Then we brought in my sister and we were all in the floor laughing.
