Holy God. What a piece of ♥♥♥♥ example of entertainment software. The game hasn’t even started yet. Telemetrics consent? Who cares? You’re probably just gonna do what you want to anyways. Why wouldn’t you? So just ask the player for permission later, if not never, ffs. Go away already. The game hasn’t even started yet. Wait, where’d my game go? A store page? For Cooking Simulator 2? With Mixed reviews? Who cares? Was buying Cooking Simulator 1 not enough for you people? Am I allowed to play this first purchase before being subjected to hamfisted foisting upon of some steamed soggy sloppy seconds? “Verified” my ass. When the main menu finally did show its face, ZERO inputs were working AT ALL. Had to navigate with touch screen to enable Gamepad controls. Career Mode, classic kitchen, tutorials enabled, fine, fine. What is the framerate s’posed to be? 40? Damn. Could I have gotten a warning? Maybe a better graphics settings preconfiguration? Whatever. Fixed by locking the Deck OLED to 40hz. Even then, inconsistent and dropped frames. Something else is bothering me, though… it’s quiet. Too quiet… A little music might go a long way. Maybe some voice acting if you’re feeling fancy.…4 found this helpful
I launch the game and my controller cannot navigate the menu. I need to use a mouse on my TV to start playing. Ok ok maybe it gets better. Walking is really erratic and aiming to click on ingredients is a nightmare. Ok maybe it gets better. When plating the salmon in the tutorial, the plate spasms like a Garry's Mod asset and flings across the room at 100kmph, smashing plate everywhere. Ok that was pretty funny, but now I have to carefully aim to pick up shards of glass which isn't funny. Ok maybe it gets better. The tutorial ends and I realise I am expected to actually remember each recipe in my mind perfectly with no directions on screen. It didn't get better. Maybe this is fun with keyboard and mouse, but I can only play with controller due to disability. So I cannot recommend this, because it's just extremely frustrating.1 found this helpful
