About Anode

Colored blocks fall, and they keep falling. You rotate them, and drop them. Faster and faster you align the pieces, creating links of matching color, filling in gaps. You touch a block with a detonator and the entire chain explodes. The blocks above them drop, another detonator touches, and another chain is gone. Then another.

Anode reintroduces the classic falling-block puzzle genre, with new twists and challenges! Link blocks back and forth across each other. Match angled couplers to create chains of multiple colors. Earn items and use them to clear your bin. Play Mission Mode and complete randomly-generated objectives for additional challenge. Post your scores on leaderboards and see how you stack up.

Invite a friend over, plug in some controllers, and dive into frantic competition. Complete long chains to send blocks to your opponent's side, or use offensive items to trip them up. Don't have a controller? Play two players with one keyboard! All to a pulsing soundtrack with music that gets more intense as your bin fills!

A Tetris-like game with different rules. Pros: -Nice music. -Keyboard supports 2 players. -Leaderboards. Cons: -You cannot cycle items. -Multiplayer is local only. -No AI support for multiplayer.
Connect blocks and make them disappear. Setting is futuristic and resemble some starship interior or something. You can stack two triangle tiles together to create whole one, but be careful where you stack them to not mess the things too much. Overall plays good. Ok puzzle game.
really fun spin on tetris. place falling shapes and create chains with matching colors (diagonals work too), then detonate them with a glowing detonator block or link different colors with a coupler for an even bigger effect. a chain of at least 7 grants an item (destroy half of a color or the bottom row, etc.). local multiplayer is also available with more items and stuff. the how to play section explains all this, but if you skip the offered tutorial on first startup like I did (to adjust blaring audio first), you won't get another chance. then again, it might just be the same screens. multiplayer is customizable (items on/off, start level, p1/p2 handicap) and there are 4 single player game modes. endless is endless, mission has a series of objectives to complete, time attack has a time limit, race has a certain amount of points to reach. they can be played with or without items and a starting level can be chosen as well, plus 2, 4 or 6 minutes for time attack and 50k, 100k or 250k points for race mode. rebindable controls is good news because backspace for 'fast down' and rotate in reverse with right shift is crazy. too bad space can't be bound. other sett…

One thing above all others to remember when looking at the screenshots is that this game is not Tetris. Its similarities to Tetris are superficial. The only things it has in common with Tetris are that it has falling blocks of varying shape and that the playfield is very restrictive. What it's actually fairly similar to, but not exactly so, is Bombliss/Tetris Blast. It also has similarities to games like Puzzle Fighter and Lumines in the sense that blocks can only be cleared with special detonators of the same color. The mechanics at work here are a bit different, though. There is not multiplayer as far as online, which was misleading. If anything I would specify that it's local-multiplayer only. Although this is a cool feature I can't imagine ever inviting someone over to play this. Two people playing on the same keyboard is some weak as hell multiplayer if you can even classify it as that. From a technical standpoint, it's rock solid. It's very simple with simple graphics and simple animations that have a good amount of color to them. It feels like it was intended to be a game for mobile made in Unity (mostly because it is,) but actually done correctly. It has enough eye candy to…

Great game, very addictive, can't stop playing it and is the game I keep returning to. The challenge of using the couplers to string together different colours and using the bonus items at the best time is very fun. Yes, it is not Tetris, but if you like Tetris, your sure to like this. Highly recommended.

It looks like Tetris, and has similar game controls, and you lose the game when the blocks reach the top, but it's NOT a Tetris clone. My initial impression is that there's more strategy to this game than Tetris. There are a good number of game options, and you can turn the "Items" on or off. "Items" act like one-use power ups and can help to get you out of a jam at the very last second. It IS one of those games where you tell yourself "just one more try", and another half hour goes by because you lied to yourself. Fun! :)
