Shuffle Tactics

Rough gem, but sadly unfinished & abondoned.

Buggy mess of a game with a horribly awkward UI, unreliable damage preview and unclear/bugged interactions of various keywords. Controller support is also very poor: everything takes multiple inputs and just navigating the grid is an exercise in frustration. This would need a lot more polish to be an enjoyable title. Since development appears to be finished, I'd say stay away from this one.

Shuffle Tactics, developed by Club Sandwich and published by The Arcade Crew, is an ambitious blend of turn-based tactics and roguelike deckbuilding that aims to merge two complex genres into a single cohesive experience. At its best, it delivers moments of clever synergy and strategic satisfaction, but it also reveals the challenges of balancing layered systems that don’t always align as smoothly as intended. Set in a fractured fantasy world overtaken by a mysterious corruption, the game establishes a thematic backdrop that supports its mechanics without becoming the central focus. The narrative introduces a kingdom in decline and a cast of characters shaped by this decay, but storytelling remains relatively light. Rather than guiding the experience through deep character arcs or intricate lore, the game uses its setting as a framework for the tactical encounters that define its core. This approach keeps the pacing focused on gameplay, though it can leave the world feeling underdeveloped for players seeking a stronger narrative connection. I recommend this game in hopes that with enough postivie support the devs might come back to it and work on polishing it to perfection. I think this game is great. Every major thing in it is done really well, with aspects such as sound design, music, unique and clean artstyle, gameplay loop and depth as well as core concept and mechanics, really make it an outstanding indie game in my opinion. Sidekicks are a great addition to the deckbuilding formula with their own decks which you can expand and specialize. Sadly it is unfinished and it shows. There are game breaking bugs which can be worked around to still have an enjoyable experience (for me at least) but it doesn't justify their pressence. There is also a number of small bugs and for me the biggest small thing the game is lacking is explaining the achievements. Almost all the time you get some quirkysounding, maybe even funny achievements for special interactions but you never now why you got it . I am having a blast with it and hope it will get devs attention again. If you like rougelikes and deckbuilders check out the demo!

Great Game.

I already quite liked the demo and I think this game has real potential. The reviews feel a bit harsh (especially now that the price has dropped) Really cool visuals and music, I like the mix of low-poly / pixel art. Sure, the game has some balance issues... but hopefully those will get fixed and the devs seem open to feedbacks... First thing I'd change asap is the UI, but hey, I saw waaay worst in games with much higher reviews :)
