Roman Triumph is a survival city-builder / colony-sim set in Roman times where you must lead your people, build a city from the ground up and fortify it with walls, ballistae, archer towers and other Roman defenses to survive against the hordes of Barbarians, ferocious Hydra, Minotaur, Cerberus, and other mythological beasts. In order for your city to thrive, you must keep your citizens fed, safe, healthy, and happy. Strategically designing your city in this randomly generated world will improve your empire's chances of attracting new citizens, increase your resource and food production efficiency, please your gods, and maximize safety during attacks. Throughout the years your settlement will get attacked by increasingly dangerous Barbarian armies from the North as they attempt to invade and pillage your land. Even worse, as you grow you will disturb the habitats of mythological beasts such as the Hydra, Minotaur, and more. To survive, you must raise an army and build walls, towers, ballistae and other types of defenses to fend off enemy attacks. Progress through the research tree will unlock increasingly powerful defenses. Eventually, you can train an army of legionnaires to take the battle to the enemy.Roman life revolves around the Gods. You must build temples and comply with their rules or they can quickly become hostile and ruin your crops, send devastating lightning blasts, infect citizens with deadly diseases, start horrible thunderstorms, or send beasts to destroy you.
Trade, hunt, gather, build crop and animal farms, create resource production lines, establish order, provide healthcare, offer entertainment, build defenses and much, much more!

Manage your people's food needs by growing crops and raising animals.
Gather resources to build more housing, industry buildings, social and religious structures in order to prosper and avoid plagues, crimes, etc.
Worship the Gods with Temples and offerings to avoid their wrath and possibly get blessings.
Research and unlock more than 80 unique Roman buildings
Trade with other cities for resources.
Raise an army of Roman legionaries, including archers and soldiers equipped with pila and gladii.
Battle mythical Roman creatures like the Hydra and the Minotaur.
Build defenses (ballistae, archers, scorpios, etc.) and train legionnaires to defend your city.
Procedurally generated, realistic landscape/map with animals and gorgeous nature.

Not a bad game, building is fun, UI is fine and its a good game overall. But the enemy spawn is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and makes it pretty much unplayable. I've found a nice valley, one chokepoint, secured it and played a couple of hours building up. Now a horde spawns in my valley and there's no way to come back from that. No way to predict it. Last 10 attacks came frome somewhere outside, this simply should not happen. ♥♥♥♥ this game, life's too short for this.

While it is a modestly enjoyable game the lack of polish makes it a mediocre game at best and honestly, there also seems to be a lot of 'theft' from other games and I'm really not down with it. For instance, a lot of the games sound track is obviously ripped right out of children of the nile. Combat is a little half assed too. You're basically just chasing around dragons or phoenix's while they fly around and destroy your ♥♥♥♥. It's kinda funny at first but just plain annoying after a while. I honestly don't know what I expected when I bought the game but maybe a step above this. Honestly grand ages rome and Imperium Romanum are both far better and more complete games. Overall I'd give it a 6/10 score. While I do somehwat enjoy it over all, i'm not gunna recommend such a half assed game that clearly plagiarize it's content from other, more reputable games. Never buying a game from this developer again.

A fun city builder with a twist. The primary building mechanics are solid and it would be fun without the combat imo which is a good sign. The combat is fun and challenging and adds a good layer on top of solid building mechanics and dealing with your first mythic is a thrilling (and usually tragic) experience. I would recommend for fans of city builders looking for a bit more bite.
