I'm playing games in alphabetical order, and you can watch my review here: https://youtu.be/kMNSbFwKD20 Prefer to read? This is a first person survival crafting that is currently, and like forever will be, in alpha. As far as I can tell this project is completely abandoned. It had some interesting ideas, such as having a defined end goal instead of being a simple sandbox, and having an in-world crafting system instead of using menus, However, the game is barely functional, as you will often and seemingly at random, fall through the world and be forced to restart. The crafting system is barely present, rocks give planks when mined instead of stone, most NPC's have no animations, stairs are too steep to walk up easily, you can't drop items, the day counter skips day 2 completely, and the hunger meter doesn't work correctly. You could survive 100 days easily by climbing a mountain and then standing perfectly still, because walking is somehow more dangerous than anything else in this game.41 found this helpful
I.... I kind of don't know what to say. I don't want to be rude, but.... holy ♥♥♥♥. I'm almost at a lost for words. Firstly, the tutorial is not an actual tutorial. I've played many other crafting/survival games and I know that the concept and controls are generally all the same, and I'm not stupid, but damn can you at least provide a *teeny* bit more guidance? The walking feels like you're ice skating everywhere and there is no swimming, just walking across the ground in a now blue-washed environment. Visually it's not great but I mean it's not THAT terrible everything looks crisp and sharp, just very polygonal which you can obviously see from the devs provided screenshots so you know what to expect coming into it. The worst thing that happened was that I was standing on the beach then all of a sudden began to fall through the map for ten minutes into an inky black endless death with a *vibrating intensifies* UI. I uploaded some screenshots for show.9 found this helpful
Let me preface this review by saying that despite my positive recommendation I in no mean intend to trick you into thinking this is a good game. This game has a lot of untested elements and unimplemented features that make this game rather unfun to play if you are trying to enjoy it "as a game". However, I am fully serious when I say that it is probably the best two dollars I have spent in recent memory. What I can say is that, like every other reviewer here, if you go into this game expecting an *actual game*, you will be disappointed. Some positives I can initially point out is that this game, to my knowledge, has completely unique assets and isn't just a asset-flipped game. The goals of the game are rather ambitious and it does have some unique mechanics for an early-dev's game. That being said, this game boasts many flaws. Firstly, upon our first launch it seemed the "fade-in" effect of the game did not trigger and made it so that we were in a black void with the text "Almost ready" and a single red light, which we later figured out was the sun, that pierced through this darkness. Eventually the text and screen began to warp ( pictures depicted in the discussions under this…8 found this helpful
I don't think the game is actually playable for more than a few seconds without falling through the map... Strongly recommend this game is play tested before it is sold to any more people! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA_8qfl7Y044 found this helpful
This game is not very good for multiple reasons. 1. Very buggy; You often will clip through the ground; Your hunger can go into the negatives. 2. Has not been updated for a while, meaning it will likely have none of the game breaking bugs fixed 3. If you do fall through the ground you will have to make a new save. 4. You cannot drop items from your inventory, which makes it very easy to softlock your save I would personally not suggest buying this game unless you plan to refund it.3 found this helpful
