**Honest review of My Island** For a $3 sale game, I’m not expecting perfection, but this game still needs a lot of work. The idea is good, but the bugs are rough. The chopping animation looks off, especially the arms, and it glitches out every now and then. The inventory/tab system also gets confused sometimes, especially if you’re standing too close to a smelting machine or furnace. The biggest issue I had was with building. I made a house, put a padlock on the door, and then I could not open the door again at all. It was not because I forgot the combo. The door simply would not let me open it. I had to tear down a wall just to get out of my own house. I understand it’s cheap, and I don’t want to just complain over a $3 game, but if the game is still being sold, the basic systems need to work. Right now it feels like the game is falling apart because of poor maintenance. I would suggest the developers focus on fixing the major bugs first: doors/locks, inventory interaction, furnace/smelter interaction, and animation glitches. There is something here that could be fun, but it needs more work before I could recommend it.2 found this helpful

In a word, "Janky" furnace keeps eating my ore, not very intuitive, might be good one day, but today is not that day.
You Cant key bind the arrow keys. You look like your in 100% baby oil. The animations are funky. The game is stale nothing to do. All round NO
It is playable. the premise is sound. but it needs a lot of polish to compete with games like stranded. as of now, it's just a tech demo. I only paid $2, so its not a loss. the video is misleading. building doesn't work. guns don't really do anything. all the animals give you boo boos. after 2 years of sales, it should be better.
For the price it is on the Steam sale I can't fault this game and would tell others to grab it now. It's one of those games where you can escape and do whatever you want to do without the stress of a zombie or another player wanting to take you out... And I like that sometimes.
