✦ AI summary

Players praise the game's relaxing atmosphere, pleasant piano music, clear and colorful tile artwork, and straightforward mahjong gameplay without energy systems or timers. However, common complaints include a frustratingly non-resizable windowed mode that cannot be minimized, a single shuffle per level that doesn't always resolve impossible board states, and a lack of originality that some find boring for a standard mahjong experience.

let's start with the good/not bad: graphics are servicable, the piano music is pleasant, there are separate volume settings and windowed mode, no timer (if you match faster, you get more useless points), there's shuffle, and undo slowly recharges. oh, and there's a rabbit in it. now the bad: windowed mode is very small and not only can it not be resized, it can't be minimized either, which is unheard of and really annoying, as you have to move it out of the way every time there's something you need from behind it, then move it back. the other issue is with shuffle. mahjong layouts being random is one thing and offering only one shuffle per level that won't necessarily save your butt can still be chalked up to randomness. however, if said shuffle causes the game to become unresponsive and no matter how hard you click, you can't make matches anymore unless you restart, now that's a problem. and even if it doesn't happen, you have to shuffle while there are still matches available, because as soon as you run out, it's an instant game over. relaxed mode is endless, story mode has 60 levels, but I gave up on level 7. and they're selling this for 9 eur. wha…

2D Mahjong Temple is a relaxing casual puzzle game developed by Nijumi Games and published by familyplay that builds its experience around the enduring appeal of Mahjong solitaire. Instead of attempting to modernize the formula with complex mechanics or competitive systems, the game focuses on delivering a peaceful and accessible journey filled with tile-matching challenges, calming visuals, and a lighthearted story. The result is a comfortable puzzle experience designed for players who enjoy thoughtful gameplay and a slower pace. The game's narrative centers on a simple but charming premise. The daughter of a temple caretaker discovers that her beloved pet rabbit has wandered away, prompting her to begin a search across various locations inspired by traditional Eastern culture. While the storyline remains modest and never becomes the primary focus, it provides a pleasant sense of purpose for progressing through the game's collection of puzzles. The adventure structure helps connect the individual stages and gives players a reason to continue advancing beyond the satisfaction of simply clearing boards. At its heart, 2D Mahjong Temple remains faithful to the classic Mahjong solita…

It's mahjong, nothing more, nothing less. Do you like mahjong? Then this is worth buying on sale.

Ah-mazing artwork! Easy gameplay, though? Not so much... But every second is fun and beautiful at the same time.

If you like just straight mahjong this is a great game. There is no earning energies or coins, just mahjong puzzles. I also like that the pictures on the tiles are all very different and easy to see. I sometimes have trouble telling some of the traditional pictures on the tiles apart, but these are clear and colorful. I am greatly enjoying this game.

There is absolutly nothing original in this Mahjong and it's boring. You can shuffle pieces once, but the result may be impossible to win because of stacked pieces.
