If you're a mahjong veteran this game is insanely easy, the AI will never dama and will always announce riichi when tenpai. If you play the game on normal mode they rarely even tenpai. The AI will sometimes use wall manipulation to put themselves at 2 shanten but imo that only helps you out because they tell you the kind of wall manipulation they use so you know what possible tiles are in their hand (there's only 2 players too so reading your opponent's hand is even easier). I managed to 100% this game at review time and I was mostly playing on hard difficulty. I only swapped it to normal later to farm gold faster and get the rest of the achievements. In this game you can manipulate the wall and I believe draws might be manipulated but still you can sometimes get screwed over by draw RNG. Nature of mahjong. This game doesn't really teach you how to play mahjong (at least not properly) but I guess you can always use this to practice tile efficiency. IDK if I can honestly recommend to new players since I can't relate to that experience but I still had fun regardless.

TRULY THE BEST WAY TO LEARN MAHJONG

Actual good mahjong game and actual good adult game compared to all the shovelware you can find on steam. What's cool is that it not only takes as inspiration the old '90s mahjong eroges such as Suchie-Pai or Final Romance, which are still good games to this day, it also puts a twist on it by letting you directly manipulate the RNG through powers, which is a good idea as we know the AI cheats anyway, that's a staple of the genre. The uncensored version of “Another World Mahjong Girl” on Switch. I had no clue this uncensored version existed. I figured the original Switch game was just all there was, light ecchi and that’s it. When I found out there was an uncensored version, my god, I grabbed this immediately. I played the Switch version a lot, after learning Mahjong thanks to Yakuza 100% completions. This is basically a 1 on 1 Mahjong game where the stats of your character play a huge role. There’s even a luck stat that you can raise that massively skews RNG in your favor, often granting you 1 turn victories if its high enough. I opted to put all my points into this as I’ve learned from Yakuza games, if you can get rid of bad RNG, you should. The game has around 14 opponents and you must defeat them twice each, the final opponent must be defeated three times. There’s plenty of content here, and all the character designs are quite good. The h-scenes are… mixed. The art and animations are wonderful. The dialog suffers from the typical h-game babbling that kills the mood. Who talks like that during the act?
