3x64 tries to sell itself as a retro-inspired shooter, but the experience ends up feeling more frustrating than fun. The low-resolution visuals and stiff animations don’t come across as stylish—they just feel unfinished. Instead of creating a nostalgic atmosphere, the presentation makes it hard to read what’s happening on screen, especially during intense combat moments. The gameplay doesn’t do much to improve things. Movement feels clunky, aiming is inconsistent, and enemy encounters often turn into chaotic messes rather than skill-based challenges. You’re punished more by awkward controls than by meaningful difficulty. When a game is supposed to be fast and intense, that lack of responsiveness really kills the momentum. Level design is another weak point. Environments start to blend together, and there’s very little variety in objectives or pacing. You’re mostly just moving forward and shooting whatever appears, with no real sense of progression or creativity. It starts feeling repetitive long before the game is over. 3x64 is like Tetris's strange, quirky cousin, not quite as legendary as the original, but still fun to play!

3x64 is a simple puzzle game that takes the basic idea of matching coloured blocks and adds one thing that makes it quite a bit more interesting, the gravity keeps changing. I am placing and connecting blocks while the board keeps shifting which direction things fall. Each direction has its own active colour, so I have to pay attention to what colour is useful at that moment instead of just clearing whatever happens to be nearby. It is easy to understand once I get going, but the faster the gravity changes, the more difficult it becomes to keep up. The changing gravity is definitely the best part for me. I can get used to blocks falling one way and then suddenly have to rethink the whole board when gravity moves somewhere else. I have to plan around the current direction while also leaving myself enough space to deal with whatever comes next. That gives the game a nice feeling of pressure without needing complicated rules. I like that the challenge comes from reacting quickly and making good decisions rather than memorising a huge set of mechanics. The powerups add a lot more depth too. it is nice at the first game but other than that is is boring I will recommend it because I think I didn't enjoy because I am a little mad now
