7th Chance

Strange game, I guess for the price it's an "experience", but hardly a game because it's so short. Giving it an upvote to encourage the developer to keep at it and make a longer game at some point.

7th Chance is a relaxing walking simulator game where you, the player, unearth the story as you find more items and make choices along the way. I liked the different pieces of music that represented differing emotions depending on what choices were made and where you were at in the game. I also liked the graphics, the relaxing atmosphere, the text being part of the environment, and the plot twist at the end of an ending. Although the assets used were generic, they all fitted and blended well together. However, I wasn't a fan of the blinding and flashing lights. Otherwise, the story is simple and easy to understand, and it didn't take long to figure out what to do in the game, despite it's nonlinear nature. On one hand, it makes the story seem bare-bones. On the other hand, everything comes together to tell a cohesive story. Although, I wonder if the story would have been better told if it took place in a more intimate setting where the character was dealing with the situation head-on in the present rather than reflecting on the past in more distant places. I liked the ambience of 7th Chance. it is short, the music is sad and at certain points gives ghoosebumps. I liked the story of the 7sins, felt I went to Se7en days when I watched it for the first time. Thanks Dev for this good journey.

A short but very interesting game exploring a concept of a dark topic.

A tiny, thoughtful game that's near impossible to describe without spoiling. Despite the size, there are choises that feel pointless from the start, but become meaningful as you progress and lead you to different endings. Some would say a game this small shouldn't cost money, but the with the price less than of a cup of coffee it's ok. I enjoyed it more than I would coffee for the same price.

It felt like my 30-minute experience (ending with 1 of the outcomes) was basically 29 minutes of walking a fairly empty/bare landscape, and 10 seconds pondering each of my choices. Interesting subject matter, nice music providing atmosphere, but overall too long (besides requiring complete replay with different choices to get possible different ending). Would have preferred a deeper introspective reflection with less somewhat less exploration.
