About World of Tanks: HEAT
World of Tanks: HEAT is a free-to-play vehicle combat game built for dynamic tactical team play. A unique roster of Agents with diverse skillsets and a variety of highly advanced tanks are yours to control. Find your perfect Agent-tank combo, build your ride with hi-tech weaponry, and fight it out in a world where technology and innovation have reinvented tank combat. HEAT drops you into intense 5v5 skirmishes and larger 10v10 clashes where there’s room for both personal skill and team coordination. There are no "win buttons”; the battlefield is equal for everyone, and victory goes to those who communicate, adapt, and outthink the enemy. Fight, win, lose, master new tricks, and come back stronger every new battle. Choose your Agent, each with unique abilities that define how you fight, hold ground, and time your strikes to maintain momentum. Every tank in HEAT is upgradable. Tune your tank and mix experimental modules to match your playstyle. Every combination feels different on the battlefield, so experiment until you find what clicks. HEAT is powered by a completely new engine built from the ground up, with full support for the most advanced lighting systems, particle effects, and VFX available. This makes every explosion, impact, and ability feel like you’re witnessing it live. HEAT runs seamlessly on PC (Wargaming Game Center and Steam), Steam Deck, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and GeForce NOW. All your Agents and tanks are ready for action, no matter what gear you play on. Log in with a single Wargaming account to sync your progression instantly across all your devices. HEAT is set in an alternate post-WWII timeline, where science has triumphed and the world blooms with technical marvels. But peace is fragile, and behind the facade of harmony lurks an intensifying arms race. Your arsenal will be packed with cutting-edge technologies, all based on real-life scientific and design concepts. This "what if" machinery is heavy, brutal, and built to shred armor. It is a world where engineering beauty is forged for the frontlines.
What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's arcade-style fun and engaging gameplay, but criticize significant technical issues including frequent crashes and steering bugs, poor map design that limits positioning, and a lack of communication tools like chat and voice chat that make team coordination nearly impossible. The low skill ceiling, limited tank versatility, rigid role-based mechanics, and aggressive grind to unlock overpowered agents frustrate experienced players, particularly those from World of Tanks, who feel the game lacks strategic depth and doesn't reward skill or adaptation.
The T-62 is the stupidest ♥♥♥♥ in this game, by a country mile. It has an ability that gives it literal God Mode, unkillable, for a few seconds... on a cooldown... like what? That alone ruins this game. I was having fun until every lobby i got into, that POS tank just dominates the field. Oh, and it spews fire from it's ass too so you're always on fire. fun
This game ain't fun when you got to wait 5 mins to even use your abiltys because you have no energy.
Best Tank game. Good Graphics. Doesn't kill you in one strike after making you travel for 1 min. Optimization is kinda low.
Game is fun and looking forward to the other tanks we saw in the Alpha build. It runs great even on the AMD 5700 XT 120 fps(before I upgraded) As for people complaining about the economy being bad and WG being greedy they're wrong or never played an other WG game. This is straight up the best economy model they have made. You don't pay for repairs, cosumables, ammo etc you never lose economy wise no matter winning or losing a match. The techpoints and intel are a bit grindy though.
I love tank games but nothing on the market provides a near present day tank sandbox without significant grinding so i went in with some expectations... The graphics, the optimisation, the sound design everything is top notch. But the gameplay... The primary game mode being 5v5 and larger 10v10 matches being rare and maps being more "bland" esports-like maps really dampened my enjoyment of the game, won't recommend right now but will keep an eye on it for future updates.
