"7th Domain:Tree of Chaos Prologue" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "7th Domain: Tree of Chaos". 7th Domain: Tree of Chaos is a very poorly made Chinese 2D retro pixel platformer with a bunch of fake/paid reviews from the Russian review farm uncovered by Sentinels of the Store. Definitely something shady going on here. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not 7th Domain: Tree of Chaos, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "7th Domain:Tree of Chaos Prologue" too. The purpose of this advertisement and the fake reviews the developer paid for are to scam gamers into paying $12 USD to buy the shovelware platformer, and I don't recommend you do. This is only free in the same way that adverts on…

Nice graphics but that's about it. It's just a basic and grindy hack'n'slash with many issues. The gameplay is pretty barebones: you spam the attack or dash. And since you can only carry one weapon, there's not much strategy or variety. The enemies are pretty dumb and won't move if you spam the arrows from afar, and you can unlock a powerful healing spell from the very beginning, so there's barely any challenge, until the game decides to throw at you a bullet-sponge boss who constantly summons creatures. I didn't bother to grind just so that I can beat it so I stopped there. Also there's an issue with the text. The dialogues are too quick to read, and they sometimes don't seem to make sense anyway. Even the text within the interface seems like it's been translated by AI and they didn't check the result, nor if it was placed correctly on the screen. The colorful backgrounds are obviously the main appeal, although I wouldn't say it overall looks that great either, especially the 3D enemies in pixel-art. It somehow lacks some consistency, probably because different elements have different resolutions. The use of retro graphics isn't really justified considering they've added a lot o…

It is actually my first playing a Metroidvania Style of game. I normally hate anything Platformer because I completely sucks when it comes to Jumps. This Game is very playable and they got the Jumps function working smootly so I loved it. And that's comming for a guy that has been playing Video games since 1979. A time when 90% of your characters and monsters where just squares of different colors and it was taking 45 minutes to load a game from a tape reccorder. 7Th Domain is truly a really good game. even if the graphics need a bit of work. But the experience as a whole is trully enjoyable and it gets a big thumbs up from me. Guys try the game with the Prologue that you can keep forever not like a demo that desapear as soon as you uninstall it and play this really good game.
