It's a very decent horror game, and it was made by only two people! You get an interesting story, smooth controls, and an immersive horror experience with some good puzzles (no repetition!). This was the first game of the devs, and they totally nailed every aspect of it. The only negative is that the game is relatively short, but then the pricetag also fits the length.1 found this helpful
For a first game from a 2 person developer team working on this in their free time after their actual daily jobs, it is a remarkable achievement. Just for full transparency, I personally know one of them and count him as a dear friend, so my review is biased - but it is not the reason it's positive. Well, maybe a little. If you expect this to be Resident Evil in terms of quality, well, you are looking at a 4,99 product mostly made of free (or cheap?) assets, everything is properly disclosed in the Credits, from enviroment models to sounds. But it is Resident Evil in heart. You have the puzzles, the information gathering (without the game telling you, hey, you saw these numbers somewhere, maybe try to use them), you have the "Tyrant". What I loved about 7th Floor is, that despite it's extremely short playtime - 96 minutes, finished in a single sitting - it's atmosphere absolutely weights you down, your brain is expected to work all the time, which makes it intense. The jumpscares (maybe aside from a certain door) are well placed, and shockingly, the psychological horror tag is entirely justified by a twist I did not see coming, or done so well outside of a certain book from Daniel…1 found this helpful
I don't normally review games, but I really enjoyed this one and want to encourage the developers to keep on working on future projects. None of the ideas explored in the game were exactly original, but not every game we play needs to be creatively trailblazing. The puzzles were neither too easy or too hard, and I got a few good scares in on the 2nd floor, which is my favorite part of the game.1 found this helpful
A tense, atmospheric dive into survival horror, this game manages to nail the most critical aspects of the genre while still showing some of the rough edges you’d expect from an indie debut. The hospital setting is put to excellent use, with ominous sound design and lighting doing a lot of heavy lifting to immerse you in its unsettling, oppressive world. Even if horror is your comfort zone, you’ll probably find your nerves tested—there are well-timed jump scares that never feel cheap, and some segments had me genuinely spooked (the infamous toilet moment stands out). Gameplay shifts away from relentless action, leaning more into exploration, resource management, and feeling perpetually on edge as you round each new corner. The puzzles offer a welcome break from the tension, nudging you to pay attention to your surroundings while never grinding the pacing to a halt. While a few are fairly standard, some electrical box and safe code challenges were actually quite satisfying. Enemy design deserves praise: the creatures are both creepy and memorable, adding to the constant feeling that you’re one wrong move away from disaster. Some of the best moments come when the game takes awa…1 found this helpful
