About A Night in Prison

You come to your senses in a cell that looks like you are in some kind of prison. It's almost silent, but sometimes there are some sounds. There is water dripping somewhere, small rustling noises, metal scraping. You need to examine your place of awakening and find a way out of it. As you go through, you will need to find keys and open locked rooms. You will have a timer going, when it runs out, you need to run into any chamber. This is your only chance to escape. Before the timer expires, you need to look for clues, keys, different items. A first-person game with horror elements. Explore the prison and its catacombs, collect batteries for flashlight. Darkness can hide many secrets.

To use the flashlight, you need to find batteries for it and insert them through the inventory

✦ AI summary

Players describe frustrating difficulty spikes and balance issues, particularly in later sections like the sewers where enemies deal excessive damage, attack through obstacles, and weapons feel ineffective. Common complaints include numerous bugs, poor settings customization, lack of tutorial or story context, and widespread reports that the game may be unbeatable in its final areas. Some appreciate the atmospheric prison setting and exploration mechanics, though most find the experience undermined by technical problems and punishing combat that discourages progression.

This game isn't very good. In fact, if the game weren't glitched to have no monsters for a few minutes everything you load a save, I wouldn't have played the game for a fraction of the time that I did. This carried me all the way to the sewers - what I assume to be the last section of the game - and I finally got frustrated by the fact that you have to fight your way out despite the monsters being too strong to fight in any meaningful sense. They can attack you through walls/floors. They can attack from an absolutely ridiculous distance away. I found two weapons (an axe and a gun) and neither were worth the inventory slot they took up - the axe can sometimes kill one monster before they kill you and leave you with a tiny amount of health, and the gun did literally nothing (no idea why its even in the game). This makes the first set of monsters in the sewers virtually impossible to get past, and if you do, the next set will kill you.

This game sucks........ theres glitches, I couldn't even fix my sensitivity, I keep getting dizzy, I spent almost an hour for this game, and I wanted to post it on youtube but it just really ruined it. Specially the settings and there's no context of the game whatsoever... like theres no clue at all.

Have yet to find anyone who has completed this game - it seems it's impossible to survive the sewer. Takes all the fun out of it.

Having the game be timed really took away from it being fun https://youtu.be/VqeRgiKisUc?si=3vIaZkACb3vNTFwG

A Night in Prison opens with a stark and unsettling premise: you regain consciousness in a dim, claustrophobic cell with no recollection of why you’re there or who put you behind bars. The game wastes no time pulling you into an atmosphere built on anxiety and confinement. The world is quiet but heavy with tension — flickering lights illuminate concrete walls stained with damp, pipes hiss in the background, and distant echoes remind you that the prison is far from abandoned. From the outset, the game relies on mood rather than exposition, encouraging you to absorb your surroundings and feel the weight of not knowing what waits beyond each locked door. The core of the experience revolves around exploration and careful item hunting. Keys, utility objects, flashlight batteries, and environmental clues become essential tools as you pick your way through cell blocks, stairwells, and maintenance areas. The darkness is more than an aesthetic choice — it’s a mechanic, narrowing your field of view and forcing you to rely on your limited light source to navigate treacherous corners. Each new hallway feels like a risk, each door a potential threat. Because progress often depends on spotting …

a cool game with a pretty interesting storyline, worth playing but not on a daily basis
