First impression, I give it a 5/10 which is a decent score for an Alpha. I bought it for $15 which bumps it up to a 6/10. While I probably won't play it again until I get a better video card, it's certainly just as good if not better than other active RTS games found on Steam, which isn't saying much because there really aren't very many active RTS games on Steam. I only had to wait a few seconds before it matched me against someone in multiplayer so that's good. It seems that the resources are self-generated by your main building, so I don't believe there are any resources to harvest on the map so that's a bit disappointing and limits the strategic scope of the map. My 1GB video card barely meets minimum requirements and so the screen freezes every 7 to 10 seconds for a split second which can get kind of annoying but I'm not entirely sure if it's because of my video card. I have 16GB of RAM. The graphics reminds me a bit of 2004/2005 and doesn't seem very 2017ish. The concept is A+ as I love the RTS concept with the ability to take control of a hero on the ground. The game in its current state has some build options greyed out and says it'll be unlocked at a future date.

it has a good idea. but it hasn't been updated since august 2017 and there's still quite a bit missing. There are 5 units in the game not counting the ship you get at the start of each game. you can only control 4 of the five units. one of the four units you can control (The drone) does not have abilities or attacks, giving you no reason to use it for anything other than wallbuilding. the lack of offensive and or defensive units make this feel like a weird game of rock paper scissors instead of an RTS. there's a siege unit which is just overpowered. it can usually oneshot the other units. the siege unit cannot be controlled which is kind of a letdown. also as far as i can tell there are no flying units, but you can get anti air towers.

Abatron is a fun action strategy game that stands out among other games of this genre. What I liked about this game is the fact that you can switch between a strategic standpoint to the third person and to the first person. This concept made the game unique and tons of fun to play because I really enjoyed playing in the first person. I also enjoyed having as many units as I wanted to thus being able to throw as much as 30+ units at the enemy base at the same time, it felt really empowering and chaotic. The only bad thing I would have to say is that the game cost $19.99 in its current early access state which is unfortunate because you're only really going to get about 2 hours worth of fun here and that could only be increased if you are able to play with friends or find people online. Other than that I would recommend this game to people who enjoy such titles as League of Legends or Warcraft. Don’t miss out on this title though guys, I have a feeling it could be something big someday. Read / watch the full review here at: https://www.keengamer.com/article/16206_abatron-preview

Very entertaining RTS/FPS. Me and my friend have played it a few times together and each time we had quite a bit of fun. Though there was a problem of each game being a more stand-offish than it should've been, but I think that's just because there isn't a whole lot of units in the game just yet. And while the game hasn't had a whole lot of updates recently, the planned features look very promising. The only real problem I've had with the game is how your units will go out and attack nearby enemies even if you tell them to go somewhere else. I can't tell you how many men I've lost to my own rocketbellies because they went out and attacked the enemies the rocketbellies were. I'd imagine if/when an ability to set your people to guard areas instead of attacking everything they see comes, this won't be that much of an issue. That or if friendly fire between your own units is removed. However that's the only real issue I've come across. Never actually had any actual bugs. So I'd say the bugs in this game are relatively uncommon from what I've experienced, which is quite nice.
