Act of Aggression - Reboot Edition

Do not play if you're a casual RTS player! The campaign has no difficulty settings and the developers seem to want you to complete missions in a specific manner, which removes all of the flexibility that makes RTS games great. On top of that, the AI on single player is allowed to cheat to create artificial difficulty, which is something I hate to see!! It's a lazy approach to level design, which just tells me that the developers don't value my time. I grew up playing C&C (Westwood) and Act of War Direct Action, which are both fantastic RTS games and were the clear inspirations for Act of Aggression, but this game can't hold a candle to the games that inspired it! In C&C Red Alert 2, the campaign missions have varied objectives but always leave it up to the player to complete them in the manner that best suits them. Completing a hard campaign mission in C&C or Act of War leaves me feel good that I overcame a challenge, but completing a campaign mission in Act of Aggression makes me feel glad to have survived it through luck! If you like C&C Generals, Tempest Rising, or older Act of war games you'll like this game! The biggest thing this game is missing is true mod support.

I should have listened to the negative reviews. The screenshots on the store page are completely misleading.
