Players appreciate the game's PvP experience and fun factor when playing with friends, particularly enjoying the variety of factions available. However, the PvE mode receives criticism for unfair AI behavior, including excessive unit spam and perceived cheating, which some players feel makes it not worth purchasing over similar alternatives like WARNO.
Multiplayer is obviously dead. I wish I had known it was a primarily multiplayer game before buying this game in AD 2026.1 found this helpful
The game AI cheats. Starter deck opener, normal AI brought 3 nuke bombers to my positions, killed majority of my units and used 3-4 jets, having money on stacks of infantry and vehicles. It was way past point costs and card limits. I do not recommend this game if you look for PVE purposes. PVP is sweaty meta based game veterans that would annihilate you as new player. So unless you have good friends which also has this game DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
Years of fun. It's a hard game, especially in PvP without anybody to teach you what's going on. However, it's really old nowadays, and getting Warno is probably the better choice.

So, Wargame Red Dragon is an great game. The Game is very difficult at the beginning due to the multiple types of units! What I find lacking in Red Dragon is the Urban areas. I recommend to get it on sale.
The game's combined arms and straightforward game mechanics makes for an enjoyable time.
