I went in with no expectations, and was positively surprised! This game is somewhat dissimilar from the other few games in the genre, focusing more on the hack&slash&fps part of the game with the addition of the different modules giving upgrades or new powers to the MC's power. The core gameplay loop is satisfying, requiring constant action to manage the waves with the increasing amounts of different weapons, traps and modules. I enjoy action games, and the addition of trap placements to pick and choose the moments you fight enemies was right up my alley so to speak. It has it's rough edges that have less polish, but that's to be expected. The devs seem to be responsive regarding bugs and suggestions. The stomp mechanic felt a bit awkward to use because the jumps are bouncy and floaty especially with the double jump module. Landing on top enemies felt pretty hard, and I didn't feel feedback to know when it landed so it wasn't as satisfying as just hitting them or shooting them. I'll have to try with another setup and see if the problem comes from my side of things. Over all, it's enjoyable. For the price tag, I find it's worth the cost. Will definitely come back to play the ga…6 found this helpful
Getting into the fray right away as your traps can't do the job by themselves! I felt challenged early into the game, urging me to plan which traps and elemental attacks to use since elements combine to provide additional effects. The enemies are fair to fight (ability to dodge their damage for instance), thus challenge rather awaits you around decision making and strategy before you get overwhelmed. And to finish with, I genuinely loved the offbeat humour around both the dialogues and the weapons (which are quite pioneering to be fair!) Definitely a game worth its price to give a try if you like the genre :)5 found this helpful

https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44794427-Tower-Defense-games-rated/ Very Intense TD starting at Level 4. AI.VI calls itself a FPS/TD combination. I wish there were more guns instead of having to use a hammer on Level 4. Lots of upgrades for towers and weapons. The towers you apply to the walls are nice, as well as the icicles you place on the ground. I haven't finished the game yet as there was a bug on Level 4, but the dev addressed this issue pretty quickly. Looking forward to fully completing, but let's see. There should still be a demo available, but sometimes devs take down the demos after release. It's actually one of the more interesting TD's I've played. I think fans of this genre will be pleasantly surprised.4 found this helpful
Quite a fun game with good mechanics and humour. I'd say it would need a bit more polish in some areas (small bugs here and there, performance could be improved, that sort of things)3 found this helpful
Its been 147 hours and im about to finish the game. During my gameplay. i realised how deep the mechanics of this game are working. The random bonuses, the weapons, the elemental skills, the traps, all coming together, just to get told at from TCP that enemies are on their way or him being upset about his wheelbarrow that IP broke (level8) The story is compelling, the levels very well designed, theres a lot of thought that went into this game. There are some thing that could be improved, but its at the level of what game doesnt need improvement. Ive truly enjoyed every single hour that i played this game. True Roguelike if you ask me, I needed something that was a first person shooter, that was also not just a first person shooter which works well with the concept of tower defense that seems to be forgotten more these days ( i used to play tower defense in starcraft one). Each level was created to be very different from the last one and this is fantastic in my opinion, strategies changes a lot also depending on what trap or skills or weapon you upgraded. I think the studio deserves an award for this game, nothing less. Bertz was a tough boss to beat, Level 12 is a 2 stage. first yo…2 found this helpful
