So, I gave this game a chance despite the negative reviews while it was on sale for $1. Sadly I think it deserves the negative reaction. There are some good points. The artwork is good for the price. There are some decently designed levels. The negatives were very frustrating however. The biggest one is the control, which is key in an action game. On the default settings the camera would jump all over the place if I got the cursor too near to the edge of the screen.... which happened almost constantly making the game naseau inducing to play even for the 2d perspective as the camera jerks around. I went to the options to turn the mouse sensitivity way down, which helped with the camera jerkiness, but then made it take too long to aim at the enemies. This is on top of your squad members, which barely seem to respond to your commands. Now the squad members don't get themselves killed and can help, but again, the control of them just did not feel satisfying. Finally, several times I lost the game having no idea what happened that I lost, because my team was intact. The mission objectives are there, but I feel there must be something more than that going on that leads to mis…10 found this helpful
Unfortunately I cannot recommend A.I. Invasion in its current state, and one that I think is also its permanent state. The game is quite buggy and crashed multiple times. The controls are sloppy, and the A.I. component is hardly there (unless you count the title). There are a few redeeming qualities, it's a Helldiver lite'esque type of game (I must reiterate the lite part), and the graphics aren't as bad as they could be. There were some nice parts where you would walk over a bridge and if you were aiming down at enemies, then your character would aim down. For a top-view shooter that is relatively unique, especially since you can tell they likely spent time on that component; however, failed in many, more important parts.
