Another dead social VR game. It is quite sad because this game does look beautiful and I see where they wanted to go with this. But you need to know when making a game like this if you can beat out a juggernaut that is VRChat because if you can't your game will fail and your playerbase will shrink. VRChat has everything this game is lacking and it sucks. But my time on it was great, had a nice talk with a man from Australia and I wished him good luck on his hike tomorrow! Hope its nice Nicky! : )1 found this helpful
pretty, but really lacking in standard vr usability features. Also, while I have the "cannes xr festival" DLC, there was nothing for me to view. Hard for me to rate as I feel like I was unable to access the main point of the application.1 found this helpful
Warning: In-Game Cash Shop This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money/credit card details to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
"Alexandria - Port of Worlds" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, "Alexandria - Port of Worlds" is a software application that displays a crap art gallery for watching VR videos, which you have to PAY MONEY FOR. That's right, this craphouse Youtube ripoff has paygated video content. And they published it on Steam as if it was a game, to try to get YOUR money for other people's Youtube videos. Disgusting. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score …
This is (obviously) not a game, it is a virtual space for hosting ...I guess a sort of film festival? in VR. I was really hoping that there would be a sort of archive or library of past events. There is not. Given that in-world, the most recent information and messaging was from 2022 (2 years ago at the time of writing this), I think it's safe to assume that this project has either concluded or been abandoned. There's a sort of feeling here like walking into an abandoned hotel. If you like liminal spaces, it might be worth a few minutes of your time. There's worse things you could do in VR, but there's also so many better things. If you're exceptionally bored, you could try to crack the PIN of the admin access panel. But I don't know if the panel even works anymore. It likely doesn't, given that the servers in general seem to be down.
Before I played Alexandria - Port of Worlds, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Is a 60GB lobby that has nothing in it and no people around.
