About Alimardan's Mischief

In the childhood of us 20-odd-year-olds, there was always a boy at the center of attention whose shenanigans were what made him like us. What a day it would turn out to be when we’d suddenly break a glass or pull our little sisters’ hair! Voices from around the house would then carry the melody that we were busted!
Whoooooooops!
“He had a boy, Abbas Gholi Khan
So rude and crude
Ali Mardan Khan, was his name
About whom the maid was in despair”
Ali Mardan Khan had turned into our nightmare and our only hope was to take our revenge on this little boy. Do you know why? Because no matter how naughty, mischievous, stubborn, and spoiled he was, we had dignity of our own; we didn’t like to be compared with this little boy. That’s why when we turned into a bunch of 23-year-olds that we are now, we decided to create the game of this little naughty boy; a game in which naughtiness goes hand in hand with goodness and kindness, damage coexists with making amends, and a world of virtue is gifted in exchange for the occasional bad in the world.

It is really bad point and click game about a child being a little ♥♥♥♥. The English in the game is ... interesting. Except for one crash it works fine on Linux with Proton (Proton 7.0-1).

Alimardan's Mischief is a simple 2D point and click adventure game with a comedy theme as you control a bratty kid that is a nuisance and causes a lot of problems. Gameplay involves clicking around on your screen to make the kid misbehave by putting down banana peels and other bratty behaviour. This game has been translated from some other language into English... badly. If this was done through Google Translate, Google Translate should feel ashamed of itself. Regardless, the language in this game is broken and will put off a lot of gamers. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this…

This is honestly a difficult game for me to review because of the mixed messages it gives, but I think it's one that could be beneficial to proper parenting techniques. Let me explain. The game is narrated in a lyrical method, which is great for younger players. However, the first half of the game is all about getting into as much trouble as possible, including some very dangerous pranks such as starting a fire, as well as animal abuse. Alimardan continues to get in trouble while simultaneously expressing confusion at why nobody likes him. In the second half of the game, Alimardan realises that helping others and doing the right thing can be rewarding in its own way, and the boy has a change of attitude. Most of his actions in this part revolve around him undoing the mischief he'd caused earlier, although there are also a few new scenarios. Alimardan's Mischief is clearly aimed at younger audiences, and can teach kids a lot of bad habits if they only play the first part and do so withotu adult supervision/interaction. But if the parent sits down and plays the game with their child, discussing cause and effect, actions and consequences; this can actually be a pretty good teachin…

dialogs are badly written and their english translation so bad, it literally killing game's enjoyment. main character is an ugly and obnoxious brat who has behavioral problems, he walks slowly everywhere and doing mischiefs to adults. i m not sure if this game has a substantial story but it looks like you just wander around and doing bad things to other people. Persian/Farsi voice overs sounds also quite wooden. i played this developers other games and quite liked it but this one simply not my cup of tea.
