"Alphadeck" is possibly the worst card battler ever made. And there's a lot of bad ones, no doubts there, but this is truly the worst I've ever seen, from the godawful pixelcrap "art" used as an excuse for not doing the graphics properly through to practically zero consideration about how different cards and game mechanics should be involved with the actual combat and gameplay. What do you do in the game? Since the cards are practically all the same, the winner is largely determined by who goes first, which is random. So yeah, this is a flip-a-coin simulator. Seriously, the lack of card differentiation and lack of interesting mechanics make this card battler as dumb as a box of hammers. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. This w…

Alphadeck
The importance of the attack order get's lessened as you continue, not because the game gets easier, but because you earn cards with effects. It can be challenging, but it's far from impossible.

Looool, another piece of… code made by someone not very smart. It’s honestly concerning that we can’t even copy small indie games from the Y8 era. This game is a complete flop—broken from the concept. Bad interface, bad gameplay, no automation, no quality-of-life features. You can’t even see your cards in the inventory. One looped song. 100 hours of grinding. A literal dice roll at the start of battle to decide who moves first—which determines 95% of wins. And at first, I thought, it’s bad, BUT kinda nice, maybe I will complete it. But THEN I saw a protip suggesting I change the difficulty. Turns out, I had been playing on easy the whole time, grinding 2-3 times just to level up. I opened the menu… and saw alpha hardcore mode. Seriously??? Instead of fixing or deleting this mess, the dev just added more difficulties? Extending the grind to 300 hours in this nonsense? I DELETED this immediately.

The game fundamentally boils down to winning the turn order mini-game, making everything else mechanically redundant. Whomever goes first in this design will always have a significant advantage given the can knock out the opponents cards before they have a chance to attack. This could easily be fixed if the turn order is alternated per round, with some sort of bonus being given to the player who attacks 2nd on the 1st round. Otherwise the art and design was promising.
