And the Hero Was Never Seen Again, developed by Circle Poison and published by Kagura Games, is a character-driven JRPG that subverts traditional heroic fantasy by beginning where most adventures end. Instead of focusing on the climactic battle against a demon lord, the story unfolds in the aftermath of victory. The legendary hero Astel has defeated the ultimate evil, yet awakens transformed and weakened, thrust into a world that has moved on from the need for a champion. This narrative premise immediately distinguishes the game from more conventional fantasy RPGs, framing the experience as one of reinvention, identity, and recovery rather than conquest. The transformation of Astel serves as both a literal and symbolic catalyst. Stripped of former glory and forced into a drastically altered body, the protagonist must navigate a society rebuilding after war. Rather than celebrating triumph, the game examines what it means to lose purpose once the defining mission is complete. Story is on good side, considered very good for this type of game. The combat feel like an actual gameplay with some option for skill and equipment. The 3 main characters is very well-designed. Viewing Skit often make me smile. For the H-content the art is goods and contains a lot of variety and fetishes. This game is a very solid game even without the H-content. I would recommend you to play it just for the story and gameplay are worth the price, H-scenes are just freebie.

Nice Story, lacking H. Game can have an actual difficulty that can be mitigated by crafting every chapter if you play at hard mode or harder so that's a plus. 6/10, don't regret it.

Time travel story, good even without the H. SFW mode an be toggled in options. 28h to finish, cleared most of the bosses. There's NG+. H scenes are poor – it's the usual visual novel, but without auto mode. Virgin clear gives a bonus late-game. 100% gallery unlock is available as an option late-game.
