About Animal Cafe
Luna has been working too hard, fortunately as she finishes up each night she manages to find her way to a hidden out of the way café, one where the gals all dress up like different animals. It could be a place for dreams to come true, or just for Luna to blow off some steam and relax each night.

Animal Cafe is a small, self-contained visual novel that leans heavily into atmosphere, character appeal, and light romantic escapism rather than complexity or mechanical depth. Developed and published by Dharker Studios, it presents a simple premise that serves as a gateway into a more relaxed, intimate experience: a weary protagonist stumbles upon a hidden café staffed by individuals with animal-themed identities, each offering a different personality and emotional dynamic. From the outset, the game makes it clear that it is less about plot progression and more about spending time within this unusual setting, engaging with its characters, and exploring small narrative variations. The structure follows a familiar visual novel format, with most of the experience unfolding through dialogue and occasional player choices. These choices determine which character paths you explore and which ending you ultimately reach, giving the game a modest degree of replayability. However, the branching is relatively contained, with variations that feel more like alternate perspectives on the same core scenario rather than dramatically different storylines. This keeps the experience easy to follow …2 found this helpful
I like this game but very short and very few photos but I like the art work at least2 found this helpful
I liked the simplicity. I'll keep this one short. Pros * Not too far-fetch of a plot * Slice-of-life short story * Attainable achievements for perfect completion * Easy to play on the go Cons * Artwork can be better * No voice overs * Limited to cat and bunny themes This is a better buy if you catch this on sale.2 found this helpful
On sale, it's ok. If you like yuri, animal girls, and don't care that it's mostly sexy time with little to no romance go for it. Full price I wouldn't recommend it. But that's true for all Dharker's games. No shade, I just think they're overpriced. Though I do enjoy them.1 found this helpful
Super short but oddly compelling. Was fun. Wish it was longer and had more story.
Unfortunately, I can't really recommend it. The story idea is nice, an animal cafe where the animals are women dressed up as cats and rabbits, but it's poorly-executed. The controls on Steam Deck are functional but kinda awkward and unintuitive. The images are fine but there are so few of them that you are mostly just staring at the same picture regardless of what is happening. The writing is average but pulled down by only being able to read one or two lines at a time. The biggest flaws are both narrative. There are essentially no meaningful choices in the game. You can choose "cat" or "rabbit" and then "door 1" or "door 2" and that's pretty much it. No idea what is behind the doors, so the choices are pretty much random, and no real agency. And you might think that you can build up a relationship with the different characters to get to the sex but that's not the case. In fact, the characters you do have sex with show up specifically for sex and are not the characters you can otherwise interact with in the cafe which means there's no actual bond with the characters. I feel that when there is so much free porn out there, a paid game needs to do something special. Animal Cafe do…
