Arachnoid is an intense survival horror game where moving into an abandoned home turns into a nightmare. Clean the house by picking up trash, move boxes inside to unpack, and drive your car to complete various tasks. At first, it's just an old house with a few creaks and shadows. But as the days pass, you realize you're not alone - something is watching, crawling, waiting. The house is infested with giant, intelligent spiders, and they are not in a hurry to reveal themselves. Run from the giant spiders, until you find a way to fight them. Finding a shotgun, you are able to find and carry ammo to fight against these monsters.Uncover the dark mystery behind the infestation while solving puzzles and completing quests to survive. But as the horror escalates, so does the fight. After finding a shotgun with limited ammo, you'll have to decide when to run, when to hide, and when to face the nightmare head-on. The spiders aren't just lurking in the corners - they scale wall crawl across ceilings, and hunt in groups. With a slow-burning atmosphere that builds into heart-pounding terror, Arachnoid will test your nerves. Will you make it through, or will the spiders claim their next victim?

AVOID THIS! I got sucked in with the spiders on the screenshots.. trust me this is BAD! From clunky controls, to the car being slower than my grandma, the entire game is literally go from one building to another in this liminal space, but imagine the buildings are 500 miles away from each other and you have to do it multiple times.. and you have to use the car from point to point. It was like a really bad house flipping game with some of the tasks you had to do.. The game got bugged 2 hours in as well, I couldnt find these keys my character kept going on about, I assumed it broke as I could now walk through the car and my tasks (tab button) wasnt working anymore.

Arachnoid, developed and published by Horrid Vision LLC, is a first-person survival horror experience that builds its premise around a simple but effective fear: being trapped in a confined space with something crawling just out of sight. It begins with a grounded, almost mundane setup, placing you in a quiet home environment where your initial tasks involve ordinary activities like tidying up and exploring the surroundings. This deliberate normalcy serves as the foundation for the game’s tension, allowing it to slowly introduce unease before revealing the true threat lurking beneath the surface. The early portion of the game is its strongest, relying on subtle environmental storytelling and audio cues to create a sense that something is not quite right. Small details—unexplained noises, fleeting movements, and changes in the environment—gradually erode the feeling of safety. This slow escalation encourages players to remain attentive, as the horror is not immediately visible but constantly implied. It’s during these moments that the game captures a genuinely unsettling atmosphere, using restraint to build anticipation rather than relying on immediate scares. As the experience pr…

Arachnoid is a clunky and padded game. I should drive here in my car that appears to be limited to 10 mph and find nothing. I should go here and find nothing. I should vacuum my house and individually take eight bin bags to the dumpster outside using frustratingly clunky controls. I should go to the motel, even though my house is 200 yards down the road. I should check into this motel, go to my room and discover that my dog has got itself stuck in the reception doorway. I should go back to reception and retrieve my dog. The game is full of these pointless and deliberately padded tasks aimed at making a 30-minute game last two hours. The dog itself makes the game last longer by virtue of it blocking doorways all of the time. It never stops panting, either. I had to turn the sound off because the panting was making me question my sanity. By the time the main mechanic arrived, the spiders – I had lost the will to play this game. I could have shot them with my double-barreled shotgun from the start instead of wasting an hour driving backwards and forwards to a motel and putting eight bin bags into a dumpster. The concept of Arachnoid is not bad, but the extreme padding, annoying do…

SO MANY BUGS, NOT IN A GOOD WAY LOL. - constantly getting stuck in car, no matter if stopped or moving. - dog gets stuck in house and can't walk down some stairs. - no indication of where I'm headed. - long, nothing to do in the car but drive... - I was really open to the idea of being scared by this game but i guess it would have taken more time to get to the scary or even the spider parts. + there was that one spider in the back of the broken down school bus...that was the best part of the game. I hope there's more work put into this game it looks like it could be good after working out bugs/glitches but it wasn't something I could enjoy - lack of patience perhaps but in any case, maybe someone else might find its relaxing for them. Good luck moving forward.
