SpaceBourne 2

I want to respect the idea of making a solo dev epic space opera but same as -now delisted- Spacebourne 1, this game is anything but in release state. It is is a very late Alpha at best. The game lacks polish, the translation is completely cryptic, the random generation creates tons of glitchy quest behaviour ,so you are never sure if your experience will fall apart with the next sub objective which may or may not be out of whack. It is impressive in the sheer volume of (often crappy) assets and the scope. After whatever Spacebourne 1 was, the Dev shoulda aimed lower and try to polish what they can achieve, instead they doubled down on scale and bit off even more than they couldn't chew in the first place. Wasted Talent! Get a small team, cut down the scale and just make a serviceable spacegame or whatever instead of going full 'We got Star Citizen at home! route.

I bought this game into thinking that it lived up to its promises. Though initially I discounted some of the reviews and comments made about this, I am unfortunately eating my own words. This game is very buggy and despite playing different ways and approaches, I can not get past the first mission when you have to get to a hiding spot in a debris field activating the cloak at a specific point and then eject to go into space with your EV suit. For me it just sticks in one spot despite trying to move, the only thing that moves is the exhaust out of jet pack and that is it. It would have been more beneficial to allow the user to make their own choices and experience on their own terms while the game itself reacts around the player's input rather than a fixed navigation point? So no, I would not recommend this game until these bugs are ironed out with further patching.

needs alot of work but still better than most space games. I rate it 7/10.

Freelancer meets Mount & Blade I've had this game since early access, and while it has gone through various changes over the years, the basic premise is still similar to the old Freelancer: you have a spaceship and can take on various contracts, engage in space piracy, become a space-faring merchant transporting goods between systems, or work as a space miner. The really cool part, though, is that you can eventually create your own faction and build your own space stations. That's where the game starts feeling a lot like Mount & Blade. In the late game, you're not just flying around and taking missions anymore, you can manage your own faction, build up your territory, command fleets, and fight for control of the galaxy. Granted, as far as I know, the entire project is being developed by a single person, who works as a lawyer or something in his day job. Because of that, updates tend to come in waves, and a lot of the content feels procedurally generated or copy-pasted. But honestly, the vision is incredible. The game absolutely oozes passion and ambition. Want to be a space trucker? You can. Want to be a ground-assault commando? You can. Want to be a fighter pilot? You can…

Its pure jank, and the odds of it crossing the development finish line are low. I have doubts. I shouldn't recommend it. I'm recommending it anyway. Its crap, but its cool crap, and the developer is ambitious as hell. Its like he got tired of Star Citizen's hype and delays and made his own low budget run at a Freelancer successor. Bro is making his dream game with AI voices, procedural generation, duct tape and tenacity. I respect it.

Half-baked UI, buggy, horrible translations and automated voice actor. Despite its many, many flaws it's still playable and a certain kind of fun, but I'd recommend most space sims well over this one.
