About Arcade Paradise VR

Enter the virtual realm in Arcade Paradise VR, transporting you back to 1993 for an all-new immersive experience oozing with retro-fuelled gaming nostalgia. Taking you on an empowering journey from rags to riches, Arcade Paradise is an adventure and light-management sim combo game where you transform the decrepit King Wash laundromat into a thriving business.

Set in the rundown town of Grindstone, you play as Ashley, a rebel teenager going against your father’s wishes to continue the family business. Get hands on managing the fully gamified day-to-day tasks, from manually picking up gum, doing the laundry, and scrubbing a toilet perfectly clean - to throwing out the trash in a basketball style mini game. Then, take your hard-earned money from completing these tasks to unlock your real objective… buying more arcade units!

Featuring 12 fully realized VR cabinets alongside 27 traditionally controlled games from the original release, it’s time to play, profit and purchase your way to your very own Arcade Paradise. So, strap on your latest virtual reality tech - because the future is NOW!

From intense basketball action to games that will test your strength, dexterity and endurance, Arcade Paradise brings 6 exclusive arcade cabinets to VR across a variety of genres. Alongside this, 6 classic cabinets have been enhanced for VR including favourites such as UFO Assault, Smoke ‘Em and more.

Convert a derelict family-run laundromat in the rundown town of Grindstone into a thriving arcade business. Manually pick up gum, clean the toilet, do the laundry, throw out the trash and manage profits to use your hard-earned coin to flip the family laundromat business into an Arcade Paradise.

Featuring a wide range of gameplay, from the fully gamified laundry chores to each of the 39 cabinets you can purchase in-game, Arcade Paradise is a fully immersive simulation game. Test out your basketball skills by throwing out the trash, before taking a shot on the ‘Basketball Blast’ cabinet.

Each cabinet features its own gameplay, stories, missions and high scores to set with competition online leaderboards - from full RPG campaigns, beat ‘em ups, and physical sports games, all inspired by 3 decades of gaming.

A love letter to the 1990’s, Arcade Paradise lets you step into the role of Ashley, a rebel teenager going against your berating father’s wishes to continue in his footsteps in running the family-run laundromat business. Whilst your father, Gerald (voiced by Doug Cockle), is away in the Riviera, you take this as an opportunity to prove yourself by transforming his laundromat into the ultimate arcade.

From the individual games to choosing what song to put on the jukebox inspired by some of the great records of the early 90s, with 10 new tracks exclusive to VR, the soundtrack captures the heart of a bygone era.

Players are divided on this VR adaptation of Arcade Paradise. Supporters praise it as an immersive enhancement that improves upon the flat version with engaging hands-on gameplay that's easy to lose time in, while critics point to significant technical problems including severe performance issues, poorly implemented VR controls limited to teleportation, and a rushed feeling port that fails to deliver the immersion promised by playing arcade cabinets through controllers rather than actual cabinet interfaces. The game appears to work better on some systems than others, with some experiencing gam

Runs bad. I can usually deal with low performance but this game is particularly bad on my system, probably the worst game I've tried in terms of performance for a VR game. Feels like I am getting 5 fps. For context I can run No Mans Sky in VR fine. Tempted to refund but I like the concept well enough so I will keep it hoping the devs gets around to better optimizing it or I eventually get a better system in 2-3 years.

When I got this, I thought it would be like Arcade Paradise but in VR. Its actually a very rushed feeling port to VR that doesnt quite work. The only method that is allowed to move is teleport controls, which is terrible. The arcade games are played via your controllers rather than the actual controls and buttons on the arcade cabinet itself so there is no immersion there. This is a terrible port. Stick with the non-VR version.

Arcade Paradise VR, developed by Nosebleed Interactive and published by Wired Productions, takes the nostalgic management-sim formula of the original Arcade Paradise and fully reimagines it for virtual reality, transforming what was once a pixel-perfect love letter to 1990s gaming culture into a tactile, hands-on experience. Rather than simply porting the flat-screen version into VR, this adaptation rebuilds the core concept around physical interaction, inviting players to step inside the rundown King Wash laundromat and personally oversee its transformation into a bustling arcade empire. The result is a hybrid of simulation, retro minigame collection, and environmental storytelling that leans heavily into immersion, nostalgia, and the peculiar satisfaction of mundane labor. The premise is deceptively simple: you begin as the reluctant manager of a failing laundromat, tasked by your father with maintaining the business. However, hidden behind the rows of washing machines lies the opportunity to install arcade cabinets and gradually pivot the establishment into a thriving gaming haven. In VR, this journey feels far more personal than in its original incarnation. You physically pick…

A pink glow persists in my right eye only. Also, when I paused the game to try and fix the issue, I couldn't figure out how to unpause. This game is amazing outside of VR, but unplayable on the Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop. Gonna try and get it through Quest and hopefully the issues don't exist.

Improves upon the already great flat version in almost every way. Its easy to lose time in as I somehow played this 20 hours in the last 3 days.
