Archibald’s Adventures is an inventive and charming puzzle-platformer from Rake in Grass, and although its presentation may appear modest at first glance, it quickly reveals a surprising amount of mechanical depth, personality, and cerebral challenge. The game follows Archibald, an ordinary schoolboy with an unfortunate talent for stumbling into extraordinary situations, and his loyal companion, a sentient bubble-creature named Mr. Klump. After a science experiment in a bizarre mansion goes catastrophically wrong, the pair become trapped inside a labyrinth of mechanical rooms, malfunctioning inventions, and unpredictable hazards. That setup becomes the groundwork for a long, steadily escalating adventure built on clever design rather than narrative spectacle, and it succeeds because every level feels like a problem with multiple moving parts waiting to be understood. Gameplay unfolds across more than 190 compact stages, each functioning like a self-contained puzzle box.
