Arcus

"Arcus" is a somewhat unambitious third person wave survival shooter... I'm not sure why some people go through the effort of trying to describe this as a "tower defense", I guess because you can't move around, making this a tower defense without towers... I mean, there's no way to look at this as anything but a bad idea implemented badly. I think some effort went into the visuals, but it's wasted effort given how mediocre the game looks, and unfortunately the gameplay is even worse, with only 6 scenarios, and none of them interesting. There's some backstory and an attempt to bolt a narrative onto the shallow gameplay, but it all falls flat. A bad story attached to a great game can still do well, but a great story attached to a terrible game is still going to fail... and here we have a bad story and a terrible game. On the important subject of visuals, this features fairly low quality stylised/cartoony low poly 3D graphics. It comes across as the kind of thing you see on mobile phones and Nintendo games, which will deter a lot of PC gamers, understandably. Nice and sweet I had two complaints the mind control arrow are ass they only worked on normal skels and the skel king didnt give the rewards. besides that it was fun and looks great. also sometimes when i did contracts they wouldn't update.

Fun little game where you defend *something* from skeletons. Some small issues here and there but outside of a soft-lock on the last level it was pretty dang good for a free game. [spoiler]I totally ship miss MC and the witch though...[/spoiler]

Игра Arcus - приятный рогалик с видом сверху, сочетающий в себе динамичный геймплей и кастомизацию персонажа. Визуальный стиль, хоть и пиксельный, выполнен качественно и радует глаз, а разнообразные локации не дают заскучать. Система прокачки героев интересна и предоставляет широкий выбор навыков, позволяя создавать уникальные билды под свой стиль игры. В бою приходится быстро реагировать и умело использовать способности, что делает каждое прохождение непохожим на предыдущее. Разнообразие врагов добавляет хардкора, а боссы бросают настоящий вызов. Из минусов можно отметить некоторую однообразность в поздних этапах игры, особенно если билды персонажей схожи. Тем не менее, это с лихвой компенсируется реиграбельностью и желанием испытать новые тактики. Игра отлично подходит для коротких сессий и позволяет скрасить время в перерывах. В целом, Arcus - достойный представитель жанра, который наверняка придется по вкусу любителям рогаликов.
