I'm a bit conflicted about this one. The graphics are gorgeous, the story is intriguing, if not especially fleshed out, the puzzles were varied and all in all I had fun. My main problem is that the timed/shmup parts just don't gel with this kind of game for me. And even worse, it felt like filler in an already short game. At this price point I still would recommend to try it out, I bought it halfway into the free version. Just please, drop the arcadey bits next time.

Ark of Isolation is a quiet and atmospheric science-fiction adventure that combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and psychological tension inside an abandoned spacecraft drifting through deep space. Developed by TeddyBeer and published by PsychoFlux Entertainment, the game feels like a focused indie project designed around loneliness, mystery, and environmental storytelling rather than large-scale action or cinematic spectacle. While modest in scope and clearly limited by a smaller budget, the experience succeeds because of its strong atmosphere and its ability to create a lingering sense of isolation throughout the journey. The story begins aboard the massive PramaArk, a ship once built as humanity’s hope for survival after leaving Earth behind. By the time players arrive, the vessel has become a silent and decaying structure floating aimlessly through space, its crew missing and its systems barely functioning. The central mystery surrounding the fate of the ship immediately creates intrigue, and the game slowly reveals fragments of information through exploration rather than direct exposition. Much of the narrative is discovered through abandoned terminals, environmental details…

The mini game was fine, imo.
