For players who enjoy fantasy action RPGs inspired by classic adventure games, Aron's Adventure offers a satisfying blend of exploration, real-time combat, and character progression wrapped in a colorful medieval setting. Developed by Tim van Kan and Tom Raudys and published by TiMer Games, the title follows Aron, an unlikely hero who must stand against an ancient force that has begun corrupting the peaceful land of Elor. While the overall premise follows familiar fantasy conventions, the game succeeds by placing greater emphasis on player freedom, rewarding exploration, and engaging combat rather than relying solely on its story. The result is a journey that feels approachable yet consistently entertaining from beginning to end. Combat is easily the game's greatest strength thanks to its flexible approach to different fighting styles. Players can alternate between ranged and melee combat whenever situations demand it, allowing battles to remain dynamic throughout the adventure. Archery provides more than simple long-distance attacks, featuring special skills that include teleportation, explosive arrows, and rapid-fire techniques that encourage creative positioning. Sad to write a review as the only one playing this game but I tought that it deserves it. The atmosphere is just mesmerizing. One of the most beautiful games I've ever played. Its just makes you so relaxed. The perfect adventure game. I haven't seen any bugs as for now. The art style i also so calming and well made. Not the best game in the world but it is the perfect game to relax after a rough day but still have a nice gameplay. Sure the physycs are a bit weird somethimes but overall the game is good.1 found this helpful
Spent 30 minutes in the tutorial, the gameplay felt clanky. After an hour of exploring and combat, the game felt acceptable. 10 hours in, I actually wanted more of the story. 20 hours playing the game I finally reach the ending. Tried New Game+ and I just couldn't continue playing after 10mins. Overall good game. I recommend saving a lot when you do the platforming sections, especially at that one specific part in the story.
This game gives "Don't judge a book by it's cover" a whole new meaning, this RPG is better than most.
It's just kind of a simple fun throwback to a day when graphics weren't that great and gameplay was clunky, but there was a simplicity to it that was wonderful and the story was good.
It was alright. Took only about 10 hours to complete, ignoring a lot of the side quests (which are usually quick fetch quests). If you've played a Synty game before youve seen everything already graphics wise. The combat is passable, albeit buggy and unrefined. But if you want a easy game to turn your brain off for 10 hours and have a bit of fun, this is it. Just buy it on sale.
