Adventure In Aellion

A barely-functional thing disguised as a game, Adventures in Aellion would best be avoided. There's not been an actual content update in a little over two years barring Mac support added about a year ago. Developers are MIA. Current content can be experienced in under an hour provided your character doesn't bug into the ground or a wall like mine did. There's also the possibility your Options menus will bug out and overlap requiring a Task Manager shutdown of the game. One of the last screenshots on the store page shows a group of horses staring off over a misty valley in the setting sun. That scene can be recreated but the assumption that clearly visible open world's accessible is utterly wrong. You'll go galloping down the other side of that hill and run smack into an invisible wall. In actuality there's a small stretch of woodland to one side of the starting castle you can run around as well as a couple separate combat scenes you can load into. That's it. Pretty sad. No wonder this has been 80% off multiple times, woe is me for having bought it.

Save yourself the trouble, this game is 100% abandoned by the devs. Game showed promise several years ago, but bug reports were blown off in their discord channel. Last message from the Devs in the Discord was from December 6, 2022. I haven't left the DC channel in hopes that they'd eventually come back. Will update review if they ever respond to anything, but even their official website has had no activity in years. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME

Sadly this is a dead and abandoned game. It hardly has anything going for it. Someone was still building the skeleton when they left, there is no meat let alone heart in this game yet.... Shame because where it was heading looked like fun. Don't buy this, trust me, those videos are obviously clunky...you just can't see it until you've played it and understand how it feels to try to play it. It isn't even alpha, it's barely a proof of concept. Sad to see games die.

A yes with a caveat. Even in the little bit I played I was able to see so much potential in this game. There is a LOT here which makes it even more unfortunate that it seems the developers have left it in limbo. I tried looking up any info and it looks like there really hasn't been any updates on any of their media since 2022 and just the founder on Linked In. Kinda a mystery and pretty sad really, this could have been really great. That being said, still a lot here and I would say pick it up if its on sale, there doesn't seem to be an overall story so its mostly a sandbox and don't expect there to be support or for it to leave Early Access. I hope the developers eventually make their way back to it, would be amazing to see what it could be polished into.

Quite enjoyable getting into some of the more mind-bending puzzles, and once you play with your mates online it's another level of silly fun.

Game concept looks promising but after playing only for a short brief time i came to the conclusion that the combat mechanics are poor and there is no fluidity seems clunky. May return after some better Quality updates to the mechanics but as of now i would suggest that people wait until there is more development. Bought on sale dont think it is worth £9.99.
