About Asteroid Hideout
Similar to a classic asteroids game you pilot a spaceship through an asteroid belt, but additionally fight waves of enemies. Every hit gives you some score and increases your score multiplier. Go for the highscore! Progress by unlocking more ships and applying upgrades and dive into higher difficulties!

Asteroid Hideout is a very basic Unity built ripoff of SpaceWar! (1962) and Asteroids (1980), only worse. The developer did add a few bells and whistles to the original game, but it's still poor and unenjoyable. It looks like the little spaceship assets are flipped or something. There's some progression as you can upgrade ships and things. On a technical basis this almost barely gets a pass because there's some graphics tweaks and it displays okay in 4K... but the developer didn't bother with customisable controls, so this could be unplayable for differently abled gamers. The game is really just 2D, even though 3D assets are used (flipped?). Despite this, the game revs the GPU up to 100% immediately, so either this is one of the worst optimised games ever made, or it's a miner. Stay safe and don't take risks! Overall, while this works, games don't exist in a vacuum. Here we're expected to pay $3 for a ripoff of an ancient arcade game, when you can play that for free in a browser. And if you do want to play Asteroids, go right ahead and google it. If you want a less shallow SpaceWar! style game, Star Control 2 is free. There's no reason to pay $3 for a weak ripoff.1 found this helpful
If you're a fan of the asteroid style of games I think this could be a good one. Looks like it was probably ported over as a mobile game so I'm not sure whether steam or android is the best platform.
